First heard lemmy belting out silver machine on a pub jukebox, been hooked ever since. Remember seeing ace of spades on the young ones and absolutely rocking me nuts off. Absolute legend of rock and roll, brilliant song writer, brilliant musician, even better frontman. Lemmy seemed to fit into any band he sang with whatever the type of music, hard to digest like ozzy he's one of those people who seemed like he would be around forever.
R.I.P lemmy

Lemmy and Motorhead combined the best bits of the energy of punk and the power of heavy metal.
Sad to see him gone. I assume he turned down a place in heaven and is blasting them down in hell.

Never liked his stuff but when someone who makes a difference leaves us the World becomes that bit less interesting.

Still can't get me head around it, never met him in person been trying to get to see him in bristol for the last few years but never had enough to get a ticket ,Just think of the jamming session going on tonight, he's getting stoned with hendrix again, playing with buddy holly, Lemmy was one of my heroes ,in reality though there's going to be an awful lot more going soon, i think probably the youngest person in the bands i grew up with is johnny rotten.

One of my mates went to see them a few months ago at the Eden project with The Stranglers supporting and he was left completely deaf for two whole days. LOL He said it was one of the Loudest/best live gigs ever. Apparently then Lemmy was drinking up to a bottle of scotch a day and got told by Doctors to limit his consumption, to which he replied.... '' Sorry Doc, but i came into this world wearing a nappy and i don't give a F *** if i leave wearing one''.

I believe in the last few years he'd stopped drinking whiskey every day.
He switched to vodka with orange juice because "it's a healthier option"

Even more amazingly he went from 40 cigs a day to 20 a week , A bloody good amusing read is his book whiteline fever, one of the best bits was when he had blood poisoning the doc was unable to do a transfusion as his blood was so filled with chemicals a supply of fresh blood woul have killed him.
