I really cant understand the problem.
There are 12?? Turnstiles that allow access into a ground that holds 11,000.
Most games we have 6000+ showing up. Its not rocket science to know that if a large majority leave it late to get in then several hundred into 12 is going to cause a delay.
I have been late myself a couple of times and never had a problem getting in, am I right in thinking it's a North Terrace issue?
If you can't manage your own time well enough to only get there 5 mins before KO then I can't see how that's the clubs fault.

Not bashing the club or stewards (i was a fully trained steward myself at twerton & Maine Rd) but it is often a problem and one that baffles ordinary, average fans who just want to get in a ground. LOTS of times you end up queueing, be it with cash or tkt, & the opposite turnstiles are empty. LOTS of times I've had a tkt and in a huge queue for people with tkts whilst cash turnstiles are empty. It invariably leads to fans asking stewards to let us use tkts on cash turnstiles. Usually they relent if enough people 'complain' but surely there must be a better system? Less often it happens the other way around but even that occassionally happens. Put it this way, if someone just stood there impassionately watching this they'd think it was unnecessary & common sense could come up with a solution.

No, it's not just a North terrace issue but that is where the main problem usually is. I have queued around the car park to get into the family enclosure whilst the south stand/west stand gates are empty(all gates provide access to those 3 areas). The north terrace has 5 Turnstiles? Often there are monster queues at the 2 cash ones whilst the juv/conc stands empty and the tickets one trickles through. There is no "fault" although most threads end up trying to place blame..... However why don't we see a positive solution attempt rather than a hopeless plea? How about a ticket entry point at the other end of the terrace? How about an announcement in the bars? Have the correct change at the gates? Directing staff? Outside bars at the ground? Early entry vouchers for the larger games. I just see us miss out time after time. The frustrating bit is that the club should be proactive and seize revenue opportunities rather than put the onus on supporters to simply "arrive early". Make them arrive early through the art of persuasion!!
