Just heard Oxford are putting up a 4th stand tomorrow to accommodate the Rovers' supporters. Extra 6,000 seats to be filled.

There's only 2 teams who I would class as "rivals" that's city & Swindon. Where have Barnet & Wycombe come from?

Where have Barnet & Wycombe come from? Just the Ted's for me. The rest of them is just hype for hypes sake. I'll give Swindon, Cardiff, Exeter, Newport some local value but the rivalry, is us and them as far as I'm concerned.

Where have Barnet & Wycombe come from? We only have one rival and that is the teds. Wycombe comes from the abandoned game , which was called off on so called safety reasons to protect fans from lightning, although the groundsman was forking the pitch teams out etc, they were so worried about rovers safety based on the grounds of a lightning strike ,that they felt it necessary for fans safety to hold fans in the so called danger area for a while. (or more commonly believed as cheating fuckers). Barnet fook knows based on their jealousy of us last season i believe ,who gives a fook about em ,got more important things to think about like is there enough bog roll in the toilet, than to worry about barnet

With so many travelling tomorrow perhaps we should use this thread for travel weather ( Tbone ) and pub information and spare tickets UTG Anyone else thinking of going to a pub or two in the centre? The Crown sounds pretty good: www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/restaurants/southeast/thecrownoxfordBeer and a burger for £6, and Shakespeare used to go there so it must be nice

Where have Barnet & Wycombe come from? Don't forget Cambridge. They also hate us now. As something of an old boy, I remember our "rivalry" with Aston Villa from 1970 - 1974. We played them in the League Cup at Eastvile in a cracking match with 2 million attending the first leg, and defeat away. They were about that time unfortunate enough to drop to the old 3rd division where we played them again a few times, and a year later we followed them into the old 2nd Division for a couple of years until they got back to the (old) 1st Division. As these things were then known. We used to sing "We hate Aston Villa, we hate Fulham too, we hate Bristol City, but Rovers we love yooooo". I'm not sure if Aston Villa ever saw us as rivals. I think probably not, but it's a bit like Barnet and Wycombe today.

I'm planning on getting tickets in the morning, hope there's some left! With the lack of pub options near the ground I wonder if it's worth getting an earlier train, having a couple pints in town and then getting a bus/taxi to the ground? Anyone know a decent pub in Oxford city centre? If you make it known to police your Rovers you'll be herded like cattle from the station to the ground. Think they actually put us on buses one time. Word of advice would be to try to slip away from any large Rovers groups as boring as that sounds. Otherwise you'll have your whole day dictated by the TVP! But oh yeah, few decent pubs in the centre apparently! The game we best them at the old ground 5-0 we were herded from the station to the nearest pub, then they came in like storm-troopers put us on the bus and took us to the ground. After the game we were rounded up and bussed to the station

Yeah, but apart from City, Wycscum, Swindle, Yeovile, Oxford, Barnet, Cambridge, Newport, Notts Cheaty, Aston Villa and Fulham, is there anyone worth hating?
