When there is talk of a Consortium, most will think of just an investment / financial consortium but it maybe a sports club consortium that gets the stadium built. BRFC, Bath Rugby club, South Gloucester Council, the EWE, even Bath Football club all would like new grounds.
Just a thought.

You must be feeling a bit 'sheepish' after that post, trying to pull the 'wool' over our eyes

As Bath RFC have finally got pp for the Rec why would they spend £10m's helping to build the UWE? It could be a consortiyum of the UWE & S Glos but surely this is Plan B not the Consortium apparently happy to invest £50m+ in the staduim/Rovers?

BRFC also have planning permission to improve the Mem but given the choice of that or a new ground which would you choose? If Bath RFC had the same option ................

Wasn't something agreed last year regarding the Rec? Regardless apart from posters on here who seriously thinks Bath will ever leave their own time, particularly when Bristol is likely to have it's own Premiership side itself next year.

They only had consent to increase their capacity and some other minor variations to the existing ground, but still not able to proceed with full stadium development due to lots of reasons.
If Bath Rugby were to gain consent to build a purpose made stadium on the current site, they would still have to find a temporary home for the duration of the project, which could take years given the sensitive location and limited access to their current ground
