The whole argument about who takes how many where drives me mad. As already mentioned its difficult to make direct comparisons unless for example both teams were playing away on the same day, travelling similar distances with similar costs. We'll say we're better than them, they'll point out a game where they took more than we did it just goes round and round. We could just for the sake of argument agree that both Bristol teams are well supported away from home in their own right. No one is 'Better' What gets me is the home gates which are equally if not more important because the money goes to the home team. When we start selling out every home game like they are at the moment that will at least even things up on that score. From the latest stats I can see in the web their home average is more than double ours, and i appreciate that there is a difference in the sizes of the ground capacity for now but they are at maximum capacity and we are at a about 2/3 capacity. They are bottom of the league and we are top we should be selling out every week not them. Fair comment, really hard to argue that point. Would be interesting to know if we would sell out every week if we were near the bottom of the championship. We've never been in that division at the Mem so there's no way of saying which makes the whole comparison thing difficult to make.

Just a bit of fun. edit: but you do appear to have a bit of a fondness for City based on your previous posts Dave so I get your arguments

They are in the Championship playing against big clubs in nice grounds, they should be taking way more than us everywhere. 650 at Leeds is a joke. The positions we're in, their away support should be loads better than ours, but it isn't.
We're in League Two!! Playing against horrible little clubs who are historically non-league! Our away support is far better than the sh!t, without question!!
If the Gas take even CLOSE to as many to Accrington as the sh!t take to Leeds, sh!t should be totally and utterly embarrassed!!

Hmm...one to watch based on previous posts. One to ban. There's only one thing worse than a shithead and that's a shithead pretending to be a Gashead.
