City took 641 to Leeds last saturday.
The distance, and journey is very similar to Accrington on Saturday. Both 200 miles and motorways nearly all the way. Trains a lot easier to Leeds, but parking harder.
Seem like a fair fight...
... so would be nice if we had more than 641 there.

Price of tickets not comparable though? But they are playing 2 divisions higher so you would expect to pay a little more for the extra quality on offer. Ahem.

Price of tickets not comparable though? Christ I just found out it was £37. I am genuinely shocked. oh well, scrap this thread! There will never be a completely fair comparison in life but this would have been one of the closest possible, within a week of each other? if only Leeds weren't such c...

We need a section on the forum just for attendances, might put general chat out of business though...

I was there and it certainly wasn't £37. Not sure if that is a fair comparison. There are no totally fair comparisons but if the Leeds tkts last Sat had been the standard £25-type price, then it would have been a relatively fair Harry Hill style fight.

Hats off to anyone who travels to Leeds or Accrington following their local team!
I'll bet a coach of fans leaves Bristol every weekend to travel to Old Trafford, Anfield and Elland Road! *******'s!
And the other plastic fans watch on Sky!

Even fans of a truly massive, massive club like C*ty would find a Saturday trip to Elland Road an attractive match, but I would have expected more. I suppose the rest of them were too busy googling "David Moyes" to spare the time.

I agree City are such a big club you must not underestimate the attraction this is why all of these players are queuing up to sign for them!

If Accrington could provide a pitch that could sustain football more than 18% of the time I might have gone. They can't however, so it is too much of a risk. Won't be attending. If it was Leeds, absolutely would be. So yeah, never going to be a fair comparison. Also, we wont take more than 650 regardless.

They took 400 on to burnley but I think we'll take 350ish no one will travel because it'll 70% be called off. We'll average more then them away come May anyway dispite getting half of them at home. Loyal.

The whole argument about who takes how many where drives me mad. As already mentioned its difficult to make direct comparisons unless for example both teams were playing away on the same day, travelling similar distances with similar costs. We'll say we're better than them, they'll point out a game where they took more than we did it just goes round and round.
We could just for the sake of argument agree that both Bristol teams are well supported away from home in their own right. No one is 'Better'
What gets me is the home gates which are equally if not more important because the money goes to the home team. When we start selling out every home game like they are at the moment that will at least even things up on that score.
From the latest stats I can see in the web their home average is more than double ours, and i appreciate that there is a difference in the sizes of the ground capacity for now but they are at maximum capacity and we are at a about 2/3 capacity.
They are bottom of the league and we are top we should be selling out every week not them.
