So after a dire World cup for all six teams the second best rugby competition is about to start. I personally can't see past Wales for the winners. Ireland have to many main players out injured to win it imo. England will be there, or, thereabouts, but think we will come unstuck Vs the Welsh France would be my outside choice, they have changed managers with the former Toulon manager taking over, and he has already bought in a number of exciting players. Scotland, even though they had the best World cup I don't think they'll do much. Italy......... Less said the better.

An excellent win for England, a typical Calcutta cup game. Brown impresses me everytime he plays, he is so comfortable on the ball, be it kicking, running or passing, apart from one wayward kick near the end. Thought Vinipola deserved his man-of-the-match, didn't do anything wrong. On to Ireland V Wales tomorrow, should be a good game. Don't forget this game is on ITV.

Could not catch this one but will try to see the game tomorrow.
I'm sure this game will decide this years championship.

I thought Scotland played well in the first half and were starting to get on top as half time approached, but a great performance from us in the second as we just out muscled and suffocated them with our possession and tackling. Billy Vunipola was very deserving man of the match.

Not pretty, but a wins a win against away to a Scotland team who have a far better team than the last few tournaments.
Wales defiantly the favorites and if they win today then I cant see past them. France didn't show anything yesterday.
However, if Ireland can spring a little surprise and beat Wales then it will be wide open and probably end up like last year with a number of teams able to win it on the final day.

I think France were a trifle fortunate to beat Italy, the referee missed a throat high tackle on Parisi which caused him to lose his balance and fall onto the ball thus unable to release it,and astonishingly the referee gave France a penalty instead of a yellow card and a penalty to Italy thus giving France a chance of victory they barely deserved

Well, this has to be the poorest Six Nations ever in terms of quality. It really is dismal.

Well, this has to be the poorest Six Nations ever in terms of quality. It really is dismal. It's about on a par with most Rugby Union I have seen in the last 18 months. It's a combination of being bogged down with technical laws and then not enforcing those technical laws robustly.

Well, this has to be the poorest Six Nations ever in terms of quality. It really is dismal. France have been my biggest disappointment, they have been woeful. Wales too, they have been a let down. England played poor against Scotland, had a good final 25 mins against the Italians, and were average for a lot of the game against the Irish. I thought it would come down to the Welsh game for us, as I said in post 1, I think we will come un-stuck against them. I see some people want there to be bonus point wins if you score 4 or more tries, to get more attacking rugby. Stupid idea IMO. If that rule did come in, it means a team could go unbeaten and still finish below a team who lost a game. IMO the poor spectacle this season is down to the way the teams are set up, trying not to lose rather than trying to win. Just look at last seasons final weekend, arguably the finest weekend ever, why? Because in every game a team had a chance of winning it, so, they went for it.

Yep, just look at that final weekend last year. The teams went for it. The attacking play was fantastic, so why don't they adopt that same mentality every game? The Six Nations at the moment is boring. Every major Southern Hemisphere team would beat the Northern teams and finish top, and I include Argentina in that !
