Just wanted to say good luck for the rest of the season and hope you put all these big high spending clubs to the sword and win the championship with games in hand from Bristol Rovers fans in the Midlands
That is very kind of you. Can I say what a wonderful memory I have from our fixture with you in league one at the walkers as it was then, when you gave the most wonderful rendition of "goodnight Irene". You put a lot if so called big teams that have come here since to shame that night with your marvellous vocal support.

Was that the game we had to answer to the FA for some sort of racial chanting? Last time I was there with Rovers there was definately trouble between the 2 sets of fans, in the ground.
Still, wish them all the luck they need to deservedly win it.

Yeah was all over the papers at the time. " leicesters full of pak** " was sung by a few hundred in the top corner of the away end.. Shameful it was actually sung really loud,do remember it kicking off massively in the ground and several people thrown out but the atmosphere was electric!

Not as bad as when it really kicked off at Filbert Street.

They've done well and it shows that clubs which go bust and are allowed to wipe their slate clean really can have an advantage.

They've done well and it shows that clubs which go bust and are allowed to wipe their slate clean really can have an advantage. That's the only downside to many a clubs success, should that really be allowed.

Took a big hit and relegation but then sold to a new owner who picked up a debt free club with a brand new ground.

Remember Gary Waddock scoring a screamer there to win the game. Think Malcolm Allison was manager.Gary Waddock used to turn up at training in a real flash car.

Remember that game so well. For reasons I'm still not sure about I'd gone in their home end with my mate who's a season ticket holder there. Kuffour's goal was one of the best I've seen watching rovers (and I couldn't celebrate it!)
Atmosphere from us was quality most of the game and I think I do remember seeing a bit of trouble in the away end from where I was.
The last 5 minutes conceding twice was not fun at all. Didn't Barry Hayles get one of their goals after coming on or am I imagining that?

It was Hayles who scored a last minute tap in. I remember him pushing away other Leicester players as he didnt want to celebrate. Joker4s goal was quality and tbh, a bit out of nothing. We hadnt been in the game much until that point.
There was some racist chanting, I remember hearing it and thinking that it was out of order. The irony was that I was sat on the end of the dividing between the home and away fans and all I could see were white faces! But the noise of goodnight Irene sounded good in the kingpower.
