NH has ALWAYS insisted to me that UWE would be built to the original specification, fully fitted out and would be owned by BRFC with full revenue income to the club.
He reiterated that before the recent BRSC AGM.
If he sells out for anything else, he has lied to me.
That's strange. He told me face to face that he didn't have enough money to fit the stadium out and that was long before he had to spend a fortune chasing Sainsbury's through the courts. Back again after a short break.
Perhaps he has got his story muddled up between what he told you and he told 4/5 of us before the Supporters Club AGM, that is not possible is it?
Regarding the supposed announcement on Friday. I find it strange that it would take place on Friday, because if he comes out and says we will be tenants in a much reduced capacity UWE, he may get a "mild" amount of abuse from supporters at the game on Saturday, including no doubt a fair few in the boxes. Now there's a thought.

That will be the beginning of the end, almost like looking round a five bed detached in clifton as a cash buyer and then having to settle for renting a one bed flat in stoke's croft!

How on earth can there be more debt in the club than revealed in the accounts? The auditors aren't easily fooled and if the present circus can confidently present a set of figures with more typos than a South Bristol Janet and John story, and confidently say they are an accurate and true record of the business, how on earth would the incumbent clowns be able to pull the wool over the very sharp eyes od said auditors? As I posted earlier on the accounts thread, it has finally been revealed about the monies owed to the late Denis Dunford and the late Ron Craig. As they have both passed on some years ago, those monies cannot possibly have just become owing. So why have they never been admitted before? The auditors are easy to fool. They can only work with information supplied to them by (no anti board agenda) our directors and Finance Director. My guess is that the money owed is for preferential shares which has now been converted to loans to prevent interest being payable at 9%. I would also guess that their estates had to be in agreement with this.

LOL if he can survive relegation to the Conference I doubt this will worry him, but where's the info coming from to suggest it is a reduced capacity UWE?

Then again, it may be the opposite of what you foresee, and he'll be cheered to the rafters with shouts of 'huzzah' ringing around the Mem !

You thought Nobby was a woman as well? I always thought he had his own teeth. Don't you recognise the teeth? They're yours. I borrowed them. How does your dinner taste tonight?

Why did it go from Monday till Friday. Surely if they thought they would be ready by Monday and had a slight delay, it would have been the following day?
Also our press conferences and interviews with Higgs, Dc and players is normally on a Thursday. That's why most signings are announced on a Thursday. So why not Thursday when they are there anyway.

Before you ask, I have no idea.

That's strange. He told me face to face that he didn't have enough money to fit the stadium out and that was long before he had to spend a fortune chasing Sainsbury's through the courts. Others have looked at what is proposed at the UWE and wonder what world he lives in. The most he could get from Sainsburys is £28m plus costs. The last figure I heard to build and fully fit out the stadium was between £34m & £37m. He also has £10M+ to find to cover existing debts. The supporters club were told it would be up to them to fit out the supporters bar. That would cost up to £600k. That's why they refused to hand the sale proceeds of the shop in Kingswood to the club. They kept it to help towards the fitting out costs. He has known for quite a while that he either found new backers to do the whole thing or enter a partnership. If it's a partnership wonder how much rent we will have to pay. This is why he will probably make his announcement before the result of the court case. He knows even if he wins he can't build the UWE on his own. Remember, if he does win we have to leave the Mem at some stage even if we have no home elsewhere. It will be interesting to see, if we ever do, just who will benefit the most. The directors ( or some of them) or the football club. I worry that this will end up as being all about money for some/all the present incumbents. Any rent we have to pay or loss of income due to a partnership and we will continue much as we are, but in better surroundings. Dont know if it's true, but even heard that he had told UWE they could keep all car parking fees on match days. Anyway, let's see what he says Friday. (Subject to change)

Anyway why worry about a few extra million building the UWE when we're just about to be taken over by a Jordanian Prince worth billions?

Friday? Isn't that the day DC (David Cameron!!!) has to report to his cabinet on the EU? Oh,& another DC will be picking a team for Saturday. Not much else though...... If and its' a big IF, if anything is happening Friday we surely will hear from the local media Radio Bristol, Post etc tomorrow, that they have been summoned to a press conference on Friday at the Mem. After all if what we have been promised on here is happening surely Mr Higgs will want everyman and his dog to hear the great news. Very interesting that no one from the local media reported that a press conference at the Mem last Monday was cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled for this Friday. If nothing leaks tomorrow from the local media I for one expect nothing to happen. Not being an ITK, this is my first comment on what seems like hundreds of threads on this matter over several months and I am still none the wiser, like it would appear to me everyone else is, including the ITK's. UTG!
