Rovers were battered by Pompey and 3-1 flattered them. It's been a while since I've seen Rovers on the receiving end of such a one-sided match.
Agree that DC got the tactics wrong. I also assumed we would play the same formation that worked at Oxford with 3 centre backs and Leadbitter and Brown hanging back initially to keep things tight. Instead it was 4 at the back and the 2 full-backs often pushing up to leave large holes at the back. Pompey had the midfield and wingers to exploit these holes. Our midfield was poor and Bodin is not a winger. Lawrence was poor in the first half but improved alot in the second half after Mansell had gone off. Let's hope it's merely case of him needing time to get match fit and build a good understanding with his team-mates.
Still alot of twists and turns to go this season, I just hope we can stay in the mix in the next few weeks so that we are still in the promotion play-off race come April/May.
