Something has gone wrong with our close knit squad . As DC said it dosnt matter how long a player has been here which tells me He is not happy with some of our new recruits . We built this team on a fantastic togetherness and it seems to me that there is a few problems in the camp We need to back our fantastic young manager to help us to move on UTG

Or is is guesswork? Despite Saturday's result I would have bitten your arm off at the start of the season for P30 GD +8 PTS 47, and I would have bitten the other arm off for what I see as the 'team spirit' on and off the pitch this season (compared to 2013/14)...

No team is going to be consistent throughout the season. We were always due dip in form, though I feel the new signings haven't added anything to the squad.
If this slump is still going in five games time then we should be concerned. We've also just had a really tough run of fixtures which we didn't do particularly well out of.

Nothing to worry about, we've had a tough run of fixtures. March will be a bigger as we play mostly bottom half teams.

I don't understand what you are getting at here Ray?
You know there is squad disharmony and that it's because of contacts?

I agree Ray, it's almost like you started the thread and then decided to completely change the subject of what you were going to write about

Nonsensical post I would say. Surely our only new recruits are Fallon, Lawrence and Gaffney. I would assume this is a dig at Lawrence, after all we have been told Fallon is here on a game to game contract and has hardly played, Gaffneyhas not scored since he signed permanately but has still performed with his usual effort. Ray needs to explain where he is coming from or accept perhaps we are not the world beating team he may think we are.

I think Ray may actually have gone crazy. Either that or he's severely bipolar.... after all, he likes and dislikes his own post....

Ok hands up I saw a page of new beginnings and "the end" and just thought let's put a football thread up We have a fantastic manager in DC and I think you are right we are just having a blip after all it was only a few matches ago we won at Oxford I just wonder if he has to give some of our squad a game as most people have said we looked very disjointed at Portsmouth However in DC I trust and he has made a habit of bouncing back Anyway you get back to your "the end " thread Cheers UTG

OK, DC brought in his old mate & had to give him a go. It ain't working, so far at any rate. I seriously doubt DC is stupid/arrogant/blind enough to persist with. LL probably has a part to play but not a leading one. Let's judge in a month

Is it his old mate though or somebody he just happened to play alongside? As I said on the Pompey thread let's judge him after at least a couple of home games, not though away games.

LL probably has a part to play but not a leading one. Let's judge in a month I cannot see why we have signed him, other than his mate DC has given him a chance after Shrewsbury let him go for nothing. I have seen 2 of his 3 appearances and he offers nothing that we did not have before. Pardon me if I am wrong but didn't DC say " I will only sign players if they are better than the ones we have?" plus "I am looking for young and hungry players" and the last one was "if we get promotion then he will get another years contract". We could have used the money better, in my opinion. We were doing very well, especially away from home with the squad we had, then he arrives and we lose at Barnet; Accrington, and Portsmouth. Top 7? Not with Lawrence in the team

Talking to an ex pro on Saturday we discussed that this was the time of the season that players switched off if their contracts were up in the summer and nothing concrete had been offered. Their agents would have been called and asked to circulate their details and in some cases pre contracts have already been signed with other clubs. I know, footballers should try even harder to try and secure a contract but they aren't that bright at this level.
