Not sure if anyone has seen this, but someone received a tweet from the manager of the Good Companion Pub regarding Gasheads in his pub on Saturday. According to the manager, and having cashed up, in a 2 hour spell before the match, Gasheads drank 804 pints of alcohol, which included 6 changes of barrels for Thatchers Gold. That equates to roughly £2,500. I tried to get in there just after 1pm and the car park was full. This must had been a great day for the manager of the pub.

I tried to get served at about 1.00pm and the bar was six deep....didn't seem to have many Staff on for some reason.
Gave up in the end and got a few tins from Tesco's near the ground.
Hopefully they made enough profit to cover the front window that got put in just as I was leaving.....

Don't know who did it...but as I was walking out of the Pub, heard a smash, looked round and one of the front windows had a big hole in it.
When we went past on the way home I noticed it had been filled with plywood.

Put in by who? Not sure who but the old bill charged into the pub like they were the riot squad! Took me nearly 45 minutes to get drinks around 1 so I bought 3 pints there and then!

In all fairness the pub opened at 11am and the staff worked non stop the queues happened just before 1pm after 3 coaches / mini busses arrived I could see the window damage and it looked a complete accident from some of our younger fans . It was a small window which perhaps an apology might suffice UTG

We went to the "Red White & Blue pub on Fawcett Rd before the game, they had London Pride on the handle which suited our group. The Landlady and her other half couldn't have been more friendly, it had a mixture of fans from both clubs mainly of a more mature age group. This was consistent with it being a traditional street corner pub, it was pretty packed when we left about 14:30.

I went to the Good Companions two years ago but went to the Red, White and Blue this time. I would agree with all philbemmygas says above. Very nice street corner pub, a bit further away from the ground but with the bonus that there were a few free parking places in the side street next to the pub when we arrived at 1.30. For me, a much better option than the Good Companions. It got so busy that ...the landlord did have to change one barrel!
