Or because we've played two teams who look a good shout for hitting the playoffs this season. But you do you. Barnet? For me, and this is only my opinion, but we have lost our good away record in the last two games because DC has included his mate Lawrence in the team. To me he is too slow that's it. In this division you have to be quick at getting to the ball, quick at getting it under control and you must be able (at the very least) keep up with your team mates and the opposition. I believe we would have done better with Lines, or Ollie Clark. After all we rarely lost away from home, but since Lawrence's appearance we have lost 3 on the trot. what does DC see that I don't? Not sure where Barnet fit into this. Like I said, you do you.

the "pick HIS mate" comment just discredits the original poster for me.

For me the difference is playing 442 instead of 352.
Against good footballing sides we always get overrun in the midfield playing 442.
When we signed LL I assumed it was to give us more strength in a 3 man midfield. He hasn't got the legs to cover the ground when there are just 2 in there and he isn't a winger.
I predict a return to 352 and winning ways on Saturday.

It has certainly coincided with our drop in form BUT, in fairness to Lawrence, there's nothing (as far as I am aware of) to suggest that his arrival has p*ssed players off etc. Whether or not he's actually any good is another argument of course. I think we all need to remember though that we've just come off the back of playing two very difficult teams. Next game we might be back to our best, so it's important that none of us overreact. It was just so frustrating to see us get overrun in midfield and our midfield general Lee Mansell pushed out wide to accommodate Lawrence. I really don't get why Lawrence was brought in or what he offers. I thought he would play on the left hand side or part of a midfield 3. He's the sort of signing we would have made in the past. I hope he ends up proving me wrong. I would definitely drop him Saturday though. He just seems to have unsettled things for now. Our midfield and DEFENCE were overrun v Pompey. Where did Mansell play exactly ? I just saw four midfielders and no real width from them ! The full backs provided the width when they went forward.

Morecambe Sat so a great opportunity to get an overdue win on the board. We were awesome at their place with Mattee and Ellis briliant. They had a player sent off last match so assume he will be banned this week.Don't think the away support will reach three figures as we get more away than they do at home!!! Not sure how they manage on such miniscule crowds but they have a neat stadium with cover and good facilities for visiting fans. Also, the Guy that made them tick,Jack Redshaw, has left. Reckon we can we get back on track and complete a double.Hope we will all be smiling again at 5 pm Sat. I can't remember how many times in my 30 odd years of being a gashead this combination has ended up as a 1-0 home defeat despite us having all the play. ?

Another common denominator is 4-4-2 away from home.
As soon as I saw that team sheet away to Pompey I feared the worst.
It's surely quite clear by now that we've played our best football using the 5-3-2
