Its never too early to bump this thread. I feel confident enough now to be brave, bold and believed.
It's been a tough start for Bristol Rovers that's for sure. We now have 4pts from last two games and much more optimism around the club.
So I originally optimistically hoped for 11pts at this stage of the season. Right now we only have 5pts however it was nearly 7. Had we won we would have been only 4pts from my original target.
Looking forward, If we beat Halifax (and we should be confident) then we will have 8pts and be ready for a surge up the table. We will be a form team, the one to watch.
Are we ready for an early season surge up the table? A few more victories and we will be on our way. The bus hasn't left the depot yet but in a few more games time I hope to find a reason to take the ground breaking bus on its first journey of the season. I hope it never needs to return to the depot due to our continuing impressive form.
I hope to see plenty of passengers excitedly joining this journey that takes us somewhere towards our end of season dreams. All aboard!

Love the way you try and make it sound like your prediction was close! The 6 points you are off by are the difference between 3rd and 15th lol!!!!!

Hadn't realised that we might have been third had I been right. Sadly, if I had been right we still wouldn't have been ground breaking enough. I must remind myself to be much more optimistic and positive about the future when I take a stab at predictions. The next six games might give us more joy. All aboard!

Thanks for your advice Dins. Sorry you feel that way. Being annoyed is a choice that you decide not me. You could choose to ignore posts then we will both be happy! With over a thousand posts to your name, over 6 times more than me, I can't see you being easily put off.

Good idea inee. Rich, I think we need to fire up and get rolling and I think we could well be well on our way. Team growing in confidence and performances getting better and better who knows what might happen. I do think we should keep the fuel and a match or two though just in case we have to torch the bus and pretend it never happened.

Tbh today of all days this feels a bit silly A very dark day in the history of BRFC for me... I'm not entirely sure where we go from here. The UWE was our future and a platform to potentially achieve great things. Without it, it kind of feels like "where do we go from here?", "what now?". I feel massively dejected today and talk of anything Grounbreaking makes me want to vomit. Sorry

For 2014/15: Groundbreaking: Sainsbury's forced appeal against restricted delivery hours succeeds. They hand over the dosh and it's all systems go for the UWE. Stretching: The appeal succeeds but Sainsbury's find other methods of stalling their purchase of the Mem. Status Quo retained. Realistic: Sainsbury's find a way to exit the deal. Minimal compensation given. Higgs publicly pledges future to the club whilst running around trying to find a buyer stupid enough to pay what he has invested. Meanwhile, club loses more and more money. Security: Sainsbury's exit, Higgs walks away, club enters administration, is demoted but will continue to exist in the Conference South under a new fan led consortium. This is a truly awful day for the Gas and at this moment it is hard to see anything but a bleak future

Today, some of us feel dejected, depressed and in despair. It's totally understandable.
Today, is not the day to look forward as we are not ready, quite yet.
Today is the day to come to terns with this news
Today is the day when we can be justifiably angry about events
Today we need to understand and reflect on the situation
There will come a time when we will be ready to move on
There will come a time when we will be ready to bounce back
There will be a time when we can look alternatives
Ok it's not today but it might be tomorrow or the day after or possibly later.
The dust will settle and when it does we see things rationally and be ready to bounce back
We don't feel like bouncing back right now but we can focus on what we do best
Supporting Bristol Rovers through thick and thin and expecting better.
Maybe the team can give us something to shout about.
Just maybe, right now, the team might be all we can believe in.
Today and tomorrow we are stronger together.
Some may see dark clouds overhead but we know that there are brighter days ahead.
Let's see how things settle down. We might all feel better in a few weeks time.

I for one hope that this post comes true. We will all be on this bus if it does.

I'm on board! I've seen nothing to worry about in the games I've watched!
We have to adopt the Leeds, Norwich & Southampton attitudes to when they played us - you're lucky to be playing us, it's your Cup Final and we'll still beat you!!!
Player for player, we were better than Halifax.
Get the bandwagon rolling!!!

Why am i developing an inner confidence about our opportunities this season. I am impressed with the spirit of the team and the leader ship of our manager.
So we beat the team at the top at home. What does our manager say after pointing put the disappointment of the second half performance?
"I'm delighted with the three points against an in-form team but I set higher standards than that, and the players have set higher standards over the last couple of games."
Seems like he to is aiming at ground-breaking. No reason why not. Let remind ourselves of the last 3 games. So we have 7 points in 7 days. We have 7pts from 3 games. We are in promotion form and if lucky, at end of season, it might be enough to take us beyond just the promotion positions. At the end of September, we will have gained further experience of this league and may well get sufficient points to be the team to watch.
So we play (present league positions in brackets) Braintree (13) , Wrexham (7), Lincoln (5), Nuneaton(23), Woking (9), southport (15). Let's be honest, on our present run all of these look winnable. The very best in this league, on present form, would fancy their chances. Why can't we think we can? Can we look up after all the disappointment of the last few seasons?
We need to start having confidence in our young team and believing that just maybe we might have a team that can grind out results and okay in a way that keeps us all happy. Of course, 18pts would be unexpected and so ground breaking for us especially at this stage of the season. If we get 16pts we will all be laughing and many more will be on the bus and ready to take on this league and get out at first time of asking.
Mjhgas is on board. Is Anyone else confident enough to jump on.? Hope so? I'm ready. The bus is ready to pick up passengers. Are you in? Are you on the bus, or still waiting.

I'm on board because I'm fed up of negativity surrounding this club. Don't get me wrong, it's all been fully justifiable, but right now the club needs us all to drag it back up. Come on Darrel and the boys, the bus is right behind you!

Amazed at the lack of people onboard!!!
By October the promotion bus will be in full flow! If Clarke can get his squad to believe and work hard, we'll be right up there!!!
This squad would've have beaten last years on talent and work ethic!
