Good deal. Said all the right things. If they wanted to f**k about and play the football chairman they would have bought 40% of some team like Yeovil. Instead they bought all the shares they could (it seems) and talked about steady development and investment in the future, and are clearly going to build the UWE (not sure how people got the impression they might not). Going on the tweets the new owners said no more than NH has been saying over the years, I fear in a few months they'll say the UWE plans are no longer viable and they are now looking at revamping the Mem. Let's see if anything more is said in the post press conference interviews. I wish. But sadly it's Frenchay for us. Oh well, lets hope the bar at the stadium is good.

The Mem cannot and will not ever provide enough funding to run the club. That's about the one thing NH was right about. It has to be UWE. otherwise all those taking the p*ss out of the morons south of the river might just find they've caught a cold.
My worry is we might end up in a reduced stadium. If you don't think big you will never be big.
But our Jordanian friend deserves time to sort the mess we are in. But he must soon confirm the stadium plans or I fear the goodwill may ebb away.
Here's hoping UTG

I would think one aspect of the UWE our new owner is not delighted about is the fact we won't own the land, which was always slightly worrying. Perhaps that needs further discussion with UWE? Personally, I don't see a problem with it. I'd be a lot more worried if he bought it. He could then build what he wants on it. If the original agreement of 125 year lease and easy renewals after that, ( I'll still be here even if you lot aren't) is honoured, it is actually a safeguard. Otherwise he could buy us, move us to some dump like Bath City and build houses or whatever there. Not that I'm saying he would mind. Lets give him time to settle in, then we shall know for sure.

Surely you are happy at this moment in time? Considering we can't get into a worse position we are in now? Yes but that's not the issue. I don't want us, in the time I have left, to remain a third or fourth rate team. What's the point in a 15000 capacity stadium when we can draw over 11000 in non league. That would smack of little ambition to me.
