Wael Al-Qadi confirms the pronounciation of his surname. "It's like Gael as in Clichy, but with a 'w'." Like a who the what when? I cant pronounce Gael as it is...

That concludes the press conference, where Nick Higgs confirmed he has stood down as Bristol Rovers chairman. He will be replaced with former Swansea City chairman Steve Hamer. Wael Al-Qadi is the club's new president.
The Al-Qadi family have taken a 92 per cent shareholding in the club.
Directors Barry Bradshaw, Chris Jelf, Colin Sextone and Ed Ware have also stood down.
Higgs said: "I sincerely believe that Bristol Rovers can count itself as being very fortunate to attract the interest of Mr Al-Qadi and his family."

What we want now, and got to be done ASAP, is a open meeting for the fans to asked toe new owners questions. After all, without us loyal gasheads, there is no Bristol Rovers. We atre the ones that make this club what it is ans as fans, we deserve the oppurtunity to meet and ask qeustions of the new owners.

Must mean the court case is a lost cause.

Completely underwhelmed by what has been said so far.
Evolution not Revolution We need to conclude the court case before any progress can be considered about a new stadium.
Same as it ever was then!

4 hours ago, Nogbad the Bad said: If true, has this all come about due to that seemingly ridiculous article/advert a Rovers' supporting journalist had published in a Middle Eastern newspaper extolling their 'virtues' and absurdly saying what a fantastic club they'd be to take over?
I remember this was on here with the newspaper headline and full story.
Be good to read it again.
Does anyone have a link to it? :dunno:

I'm glad about that, I don't want to see money chucked around. It's not DC's way of doing things, for a start. I'm more worried about 'hoping' UWE will be completed rather than some declaration that it will happen.

Revolution = manager out, told what players to sign, kit colour change, change of club name!!?? No thanks. The club is on the upturn as they can obviously see. As for the stadium, next month needs to be got out of the way first

I do not see the point in being negative regards this, new ownership and a fresh start with fresh idea's...... I personally feel we will build the UWE Stadium, one way or another. Lets be positive in our approach as fans until we are at least given cause for concern.
