Positive interview IMO.
For those hoping we'll be in for Ronaldo on Monday etc then maybe not so.
The fact is I'd be more concerned if our new owners were talking of splashing the cash as, if it didn't bring us success, I'd fear they'd quickly lose interest and walk away leaving us up sh*t creek.
Talk of building a sustainable football club which doesn't make a loss year after year is realistically far better. Not as exciting perhaps, but without question more important.
He also says the debt will be wiped out over time.
He says the right things regarding developing the commercial aspect of the club and investing in youth etc. Let's be honest, it's what every one of us have always cried out for.
In many respects it also ensures we don't try and buy our way to success like the 82ers have tried (and failed to) previously.
I know there will be some fans underwhelmed by the interview who would have been hoping we'd have been splashing the cash but the reality is that this approach is definitely the better one in terms of safeguarding the future of our club.
Regarding the UWE.... this is difficult to gauge. They obviously have some concerns around the current plans. It will be interesting to see what happens. Either way they say we DEFINITELY need a new stadium.
He's also a far better an interviewee than Higgs ever was!
