The other thing o be wary of, and the thing that some of the supporters dont take into account is FFP. Just because the money is there now doesnt mean it CAN actually be spent. I'm sure the new owners however, are completely aware of this. Hope so anyway.........

I actually like the idea of evolution not revolution. It should be posted on every rovers site and above the gates. I want us to do well, to be as good as we can be, but I also want to be able to recognise the club I've suffered with for 46 years. If Mesi signed tomorrow I'd still rather Stu played and Mesi had to earn his place. We are Rovers, we need to stay Rovers. (albeit a bit more relaxed about our current account overdraft) If things work out then rather than a "welcome to Anfield" equivalent at the UWE we should have "remember where we were in 2014/15".

Other than buying us he hasn't actually spent any money yet.
It's the same 11 it was last week.

If we're on a sound financial footing and get a good, bigger ground, with decent crowds and therefore some sort of transfer budget so that we're not always relying on loans, then I'm happy.
Where we get to from there will be up to the football gods

Good to see the posts on this thread, I guess the forum as fans with a bit more class/humility than FB/Twitter?

Just the thought of not having to worry about the club folding and actually having a ground to be proud of is great
Im not even sure if I yearn for the Premiership as OUR club will have changed too much to achieve that. Our supporters make our club special

FFP doesn't effect a team which has got promoted from the conference for two years. your lot, obviously, are not effected being in the championship and all that.

You must remember just because we have a few quid behind us now success is not a given ,you have only got to look at all of the empty seats in these huge purpose built stadiums in the Championship we were watching Cardiff on the telly at the Mem yesterday granted they are a long way ahead of us in terms of league status extra but I would take a packed Memorial Ground over a half empty stadium any day of the week. By all means enjoy the moment and relax as it appears what ever happens with the court case we will still be here stronger and better with a future. Our new owners are obviously good business people and we can all be proud they chose the GAS and they can see the potential

Our new owners are obviously good business people and we can all be proud they chose the GAS and they can see the potential Cardiff are a real anomaly though. Since Tan has taken over there has been a huge exodus of fans, for example their highest attendance this year is 15.5k, where as their first few seasons in the Cardiff City Stadium they averaged around 20k. Having said that, there were a number of people there in the Premier League, whether that was 'old fans' or 'new fans' I have no idea. Also they unnecessarily expanded it to 32k I think, so that doesn't help re: it looking empty.

I guess if you alienate traditional fans in the quest for more glory hunters, then you'd better make sure you keep getting some glory.

Perhaps if we ever get to the UWE and Messi leads the team out we could laugh at other club's struggling, but how often do developments like this at Rovers eventually turn out different than we expected? You are so negative if you had been alive in 1956 I bet you would have called the 4 - 0 win over the busby babes lucky
