DC announced 25 wins was the target at the start of the season. That gives us 80 points + any draws we would get from the remaining 5 fixtures... Can we win 10 from the last 15 games? I doubt it with the present strike force? Personally I'd take 7 or 8 wins as our away form hasn't been the best lately. If our new owners want to make the Play Offs we need an attacking CM, a decent winger and an inform striker, who can all fit into the squad and also gell immediately!

Relax we have the 50 points, everything now is a bonus for our first season back. A trip to Wembley again would be fantastic and achievable.

Would love to go to Wembley again but wonder if any team has won two playoff finals in a row? Just checked since 1986-87 when the playoff system was first used, there has been no team that have won two playoff finals in a row. But then we were the first in ten years (I think) to bounce straight back into the league, so never say never.
Oh sh*t I just did...twice

Under NH a mid-table finish would have been perfectly acceptable this season. Under WAQ it may not.

I think promotion would be a bonus they hoped for - rather than something they expect. WAQ & co were not here when planning for this season started. Importantly, they did not set the playing budget. To come in and put pressure on for promotion would be so counter productive - it would almost guarantee it won't happen. I would hope the new board realise that.

We have 53pts from 33 games so another 13 games to go with 7 home and 6 away so we are on target for 74 points but having played most of the top 7 home and away We could get to 80'points !

I think these points targets are somewhat meaningless when there are possibly 9 teams in the chase for 4 playoff places. I think Northampton, Plymouth and Oxford can now assume that say 82 points will see them home, but any target we set is no good to us if 4 of the other 8 potential playoff teams beat it. There are too many in the pack to estimate a safe target. We've just got to try and win every game and not assume we can lose 2 and draw 2 for every 4 we win.

One game at a time and hopefully 3 points at a time. I think we'll make the play offs.

I looked over the past 5 seasons: 3rd place points were: 80,84,78,81,85. 7th place points were: 69,72,69,71,71. divided them by 5 which came out as. 3rd place: 80.6 so rounded it to 81. 7th place: 70.4 rounded up as there was only 2 seasons where a team finished below 70 points so it made sense to go by likelihood rather than the rule of if it's .5 or higher. what I think 3rd place and 7th place will need for points is slightly higher than the averages to be honest. I think to get 3rd you will need somewhere around 84/85 points like last season to get 7th I think around 73/74 points should be enough. This is probably too optimistic with Sinclair and potentially Gaffney out for a while but I'm going for 8W 3 D and 2 L in our last 13 games which is 80 pts ! including 4 wins to round off our season !! I'd expect the top 3 to get more than that this season.
