The club clearly needs to get on a better commercial footing going forward and I wonder whether the club should have a suggestion box for ideas from the fans.
There have been a few good ideas like the NUS tickets and £1 for kids to attract new fans already mentioned but there must be many more and passing them onto Hamer might produce a gem or two.
I'd really like to see print at home tickets so that fans living away from Bristol can buy tickets more easily, it work well at Somerset CCC and bar-scanner are not that expensive. With a few thousand fans thinking about how to improve the club surely there must be at least a couple of ideas that would really improve things.

I don't disagree but this will be one for the new stadium as and when it happens, making non essential investments in the Mem would be like throwing money away at the present time.

The quality of the replica shirts as much as the other clotheswear has been attrocious over the past several years or more. We need to market a quality garment(s) that are also good to the wallett. I have bought Jackets, Polo shirts etc and they are beautiful but after a wash or two they turn to sh**.

I saw a bloke on the Blackthorn with a very nice dark blue hoodie simply with the word "GAS" on it. I liked it I went in to the shop they had no idea what I was talking about. Your right though a lot of the clothing is poor quality

A working Marketing database. Where they would be able to market to A) those that have bought merchandise through the website. Eg someone who bought a shirt the previous season could marketed to giving a 10% discount. There are load of marketing campaigns that could boost the coffers
This would really only work if there was a fully functioning website where merchandise was able to be bought?
B) market to ST holders. Special offers, discounts newsletters etc etc
At the end of the day however much we don't like to admit Bristol Rovers is a business and to a lesser extent a brand. What needs to be built up is that Brand. This has been tapped into already from outside of the club like crossed swords polo shirts and Cult Zeros make an absolute fortune from Gasheads

Totally the quarters. It's a unique part of the football club Anyone with half a marketing brain could really get stuck into this TBH My point is that people from outside of the club have come up with their own version of the brand so why can't the club. Because for too many years the club and particularly the merchandise has been run like a market stall that even Del Boy would of been ashamed of.

Our new owner has already stated that he wants to move the club forward commercially, but we have to be realistic that it won't happen overnight and to throw money at a stadium we won't be at in the future would make no business sense whatsoever.

Slippers, my girlfriend got me slippers for Christmas. Chatting last night with her about the take over etc and how it'll hopefully make the Gas less naff, she said she wanted to get me some Rovers slippers but they didn't have any on the 'naff website', just as well I thought as they would have been naff anyway.

Every item I've ever purchased has been fine - I have training tops and home shirts going back years and all of them are as good as new, even after being worn and washed loads of times.
Whilst I agree the marketing and range could do with improving, the criticism of the sportswear, in my experience, is not warranted at all.

I've bought footie stuff from QPR, Spurs and Villa over the years for Xmas/ birthday presents and still receive emails without fail on a Friday afternoon. Never receive one from Rovers! i think the new owner needs to don a blue & white bar scarf (ala Mancini at Man City) - we can then all join him and wear similar! Will be happy to wave above head when three up in Madrid!!!

Your right though a lot of the clothing is poor quality thats the thing lads on the terrace would rather pay to get their own stuff made than buy our own, that shouldn't happen. We need a good quality kit sponsor. It's not even like the errea stuff is cheap.
