The shape of things to come - no we are not talking about H G Wells book here !
So after yesterday’s announcement, what’s the next step for the next 6-12 months with reference to stadium/club development?
What do you think will/want to happen?
My gut feeling is the development of the UWE facility (think its more than just a stadium/sports complex now) will take a few months to settle down and we may not see any progress beyond the announced car park build
Depending on what division we are playing next year, I can see more movement on the academy with maybe a change/upgrade in personnel.
Better communications with the supporter base with our two supporter directors taking a leading role in supporter/owner communication .
A few small upgrades to the Mem, maybe a upgraded shop & catering facilities
And Nobby we are not going to have any scandinavian outside toilet facilities for you !

I think we'll get flying cars and everyone will be hooked up to the internet by a wire that comes out of their forehead.

I'd like the south stand done the same as the blackthorn to increase capacity while we're still at the mem, can't be that expensive-concrete/Steel girders etc.. Would pay for itself very quickly I think. I think the club should put our minds at rest with regards uwe development,I think/hope there will be a announcement soon,I'm guessing there's quite a lot of unfinished business regarding uwemail still?

Would like the old Guinness Stand replaced as surely we're losing income if we start selling out again this season/next season? Other than that we just need regular updates on progression with the UWE plans?

The Swedes call their outdoor toilet facility, ie, a wooden seat straddled over a hole in the ground or a removable bucket with a screw-on lid, Dass from the German Das Haus.

We cant extend the south stand. And the reason why we cant expand the south Stand? There is not enough room with the houses behind, I asked Nick Higgs the question at a game once.

Why not expand it on to the East away terracing and, if/when we go up, bring back the Guinness Stand for home fans presently using the South stand. That way most of the ground is at least covered for home & away fans, with the latter all seated so we can charge more.

I don't expect to hear anything about ground improvements or signings that need a transfer fee.
Something that might be worth looking at that wouldn't cost anything is making the friendship with Sabadell more than a fans friendship. I was there 2 years ago for a couple of games and I was impressed with their players ball control and skill,it maybe a good place to look for nippy skilful wingers or central midfielders. I am sure that players from both clubs would find it a useful experience to go on loan to the other club,it could be worth looking into.

I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to increase the capacity of the current stadium. When we had the Guinness stand we had to take that number of seats away from the terracing.

I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to increase the capacity of the current stadium. When we had the Guinness stand we had to take that number of seats away from the terracing. So increasing the south stand on to the east terracing makes even more sense, as capacity would remain similar but the club could then sell more expensive (and popular?) seats, particularly to away fans? No idea if it's feasible but something surely to consider? We clearly need more seating for home fans , as virtually every game sells out.
