Wow! What a change of picture after only 4/5 games. Plymouth have had a mare while Oxford are only firing on 1 cylinder. At least we should easily remain in the playoffs. It's looking good so far for something fantastic. Agree with your "Wow" Simon. As I left Rodney parade today I suddenly started to believe we can do this without a trip to Wembley. After going a goal down after two minutes, the team showed yet again what spirit it has in abundance and the second half display was a joy to watch, to be honest I felt 6 or 7-1 would not have flattered us. All three subs today were excellent and young McBurnie, Broom and Harrison showed that we have great backup on the bench, something I feel may well be the thing that gets us over the line. UTG!

Looking very very nice..... Muff bumholes must be twitching Table at the beginning of the month: If we do get straight promotion this will be one of the greatest end of season finishes in our history, whilst our last promotion run was similar we only just squeezed into a Play Off position under LL/PT. The other promotions of the modern era we were in the top 3 for most of the season?

Less said the better by me. At last the team are doing the talking. I rarely look back but i think we have been on a Ground Breaking run. Many would not have expected us to be where we are now back in August. Exciting times for all. My plan is to keep quiet this season and watch team progress to greater things than I might have thought possible. Great win hope your ok too mate.

UTG! That's great to hear Bideford but I think we will need the likes of Lawrence, Sinclair and Mansell to add fight and quality in our midfield more in the closing 9 games.

I would also nominate him but also : Brown, Sinclair and Taylor ( being greedy ). Still 9 games to go though

We certainly missed his combative style in the first half but going forward I think that we have better CMs.

Do not disagree with you in the slightest. What I was trying to say was what a great squad we have, unlike the recent past and anyone of them if called upon will show fight as much as the rest of them. Was so heartening today to see the likes of Midenhall with all his years of experience encouraging the likes of James Clarke and Ryan Broom in the last ten minutes when we came under quite a bit of pressure. Not only encouraging I might add but leading by example with an excellent handling display on a bobbly surface, ripe for the odd keeping howler.

Manager of the month anyone? Hope not. Though can't see who else would get it. Is it like an OBE....? Do they say "we want to give you this" and you can say "thanks but no thanks..." Not sure on Sinclair being in team of the year. We certainly missed his combative style in the first half but going forward I think that we have better CMs. Wash your mouth out with soap......The Beard is an icon...he should be in the team of the century and i'm not exaggerating....UTG You're both right....The Beard does a job in this team and he does it very well....I think even him and DC would have a hard job defining *exactly* what that role is sometimes....sometimes it's adding steel to the midfield, sometimes it's running round like a lunatic and helping others (both players and fans) to pick up the pace when they're flagging. For me he's like the anti-JJOT....you can't always tell exactly what he brings to the team, but you always know the team it better with him in it...
