Hi folks I have been a gashead for over 50 years.I fell in love with Rovers in the 60s when my grandparents who lived just off Stapleton Road took me to Eastville and I was hooked.I remember looking out for Alfie Biggs outside a Car showroom on Stapleton Road, you could see him from the top deck of the bus as we travelled from the Bus Station to Downend where we lived.I have worked all over the UK in the past 40 years and go to as many home and away games as I can.I now live in North Wales and take my Dad to home games from his home in Yate.I have been reading this forum daily since it started , love the banter abd the comments plus you get great info,my reason for posting is that my Dad passed away on Thursday in Southmead hospital at the age of 90 this is a tribute to him for a lifetime of support and hence the title of this post.UTG

He's usually good with stuff like that.

Thanks to everyone for their fab comments we certainly had a wealth of experiences and emotions watching the Gas , none better than Wembley last year when my Dad was 90, I'm amazed he survived the Penalty shootout! !! Great result today can't believe the turnaround in under 2 years.
