31 Filton Avenue up for sale. for £435,000. So it looks like we have decided to call it a day as far as further appeals are concerned.
Thank goodness. Now we can really move on.

House prices in the are have risen dramatically due to far too many buy to lets. The quicker that housing is built on the Mem site the better. Assuming that a large chunk is affordable!

That is a mental amount in general. I wouldn't even call it that great a location

So I guess whatever plans are now for the Mem it's not a large supermarket/retail development, and so most likely now housing?
Although who'd be daft enough to pay top price for that house w/o knowing what the actaul plans are for the Mem?

I'm told the Ashton gate pitch is suffering the expected damage from dual use. Bristol rugby come back to their spiritual home. Carstairs and the Bishopston Society have the nice Rugby fellows back and we get a tidy contribution to the UWE stadium fund. Except, it doesn't fit with the Bristol Sport model.

I'm sure Steve Letdown would love that - buying back the mem for the rugby and therefore directly making a major contribution to the cost of a new stadium for the local rivals to his Bristol Sport (men's football department) team.

Perhaps it is all part of the plan. As we get older we tend to think more fondly of our early lives........p'raps he's becoming Steve the Pirate.....Arrrrrrrr!

But he would be banishing us from Bristol setting the conditions for the whole city turning red!!!!

It would be ideal for us and nice for the rugby but I don't think landsdown is gonna pay for redevelopment of Ashton gate AND buy the mem which will also inevitably need redevelopment, that's a lot of money spent where a stadium share would save all that

It was always his plan to get the rugby out of the mem, he just used us as a shield so he could appear as a knight in shining armour by moving the rugby

Looking at our pitch now compared to it when we shared with Bristol Rugby I've no idea when any football chairman thinks it's a good idea to ground share. Although Swansea somehow manged it.
