After promotion? At the beginning of this season, pre take over, I'd have just been happy to stay up! Jesus, that is negative in a league where 4 go up and 2 go down. Negative? Who we were looking forward to playing Saturday a year ago? No negativity from me just happy to be where we are.

Yet we still managed to go down the last time we were in this league. That doesn't need to have an impact on how we think now though. We all agree that we should never have been in that position. It's sad that our expectations had dropped so low. Who's expectations have dropped? Just give us time to get ourselves together, so much has happened.

A lot can change in a year. I would have took mid table when we were in the conference, of course. I'm not talking about then though, I'm talking about the summer.

Not hindsight. Why would you have accepted 15th? The club had momentum, a good manager, best team spirit in years with a decent set of players. I wouldn't have taken anything less than a playoff spot otherwise what's the point? Anything below top half would have been disappointing. I wouldnt, In August , have been upset if offered to stay up finishing 15th im not sure the club had that great a momentum ,the Wembley performance , penalties aside , wasn't that great and it was an emotional roller coaster for all concerned, we only just wriggled back in after the disastrous shipping of a goal in Dover I just wanted to see rovers back in the league and stay there, a season of consolidation would not have been shameful considering where we had been nobody foresaw hitting top three end of March so it's now easy to say playoffs minimum like it was expected or some sort of right. I dont for one minute disagree that we are a big club for L2 and also agree that we should absolute minimum be in L1' sooner than later, certainly based on recent performances. But I don't get too excited too early nowadays, expectation has a nasty habit of leaving a sour taste in the mouth i didn't expect it but I certainly at this point am going to enjoy it. Times like these roll around all too rarely , enjoy , utg

DC has worked wonders this season overall, and the players have stepped up to the plate.

It always comes down to the players and their attitude.
We are lucky to have a great squad.
Well done DC and well done all the players.

I guess we just need to look where Luton are likely to finnish again this season just to see what a good job DC & the players have achieved this season should we at least make the Play Offs.

If we were mid table, you would likely be lauding the fact as an achievement I don't doubt. Mid table wouldn't have been the end of the world but I definitely wouldn't have took it. So playoffs minimum expected at the start of the season? Not for me. This is all a major bonus that we're even close.

A mid table finish would have been acceptable to me. Top half = well done, bottom half = disappointing.

It's been a fantastic run, lads, and you all deserve credit for getting us where we are today. We don't want to play Stevenage or Barnet. We want to play Sheffield United and Coventry City. We know you can get us safely into the play-offs. You've almost done it. But we'd love even more. Automatic promotion. You can do it. You know you can, and we know you can. So get on with it.

The difference this time is the expectations have come from us being strong all season, it's not something we have placed on ourselves before the season even kicked off. Regardless of where we finish, I'm happy. Yes it will be disappointing if we missed out on the prayoffs after the form we've been in but if you asked me at the start of the season for a finish outside the top 7 I would have snapped your hand off. I will go into next season expecting nothing less than a top 3 finish though with DC still at the helm and an improved budget.

I want to see some pictures before I make a decision on whether I'd shag his Mum or not.

Not sure if any players read this forum but i would like to tell them not to feel under any pressure from the fans especially at home as wherever we end up this season (auto promotion-play offs or even just outside play offs) it has so far been a great season and will still be whatever the outcome. So proud of how the players have played and improved so just go out there and enjoy the rest of the season. UTG ! While I agree with your general sentiment I don't agree totally and I don't think you can speak for all fans. I am proud of what has been achieved, but I still expect 100% commitment until the end of the season which is the correct time for back slapping congratulations etc. in my view
