A year ago today Rovers played at Dover, hoping for a win that could see an automatic promotion. After the game one well known Rovers supporter told me that he had never felt so gutted in all the time he had supported Rovers ( nearly 2000 games). I wonder if anyone walking out of Dovers ground after that game would have thought that a year later Rovers would be in a higher division AND in a play off place ?...it really has been a great year.

It's a year on Monday actually But no, I didnt even think we would get out of that league, let alone challenge for promotion to league 1.

I couldn't get to Dover that day, but being at Uni in Worcester I went along to watch Kiddi against Barnet.
Pretty sure I went through just about every emotion that day, got some very strange looks when I found out Ellis had put us one up whilst I was watching Barnet pile on the pressure. Got some even stranger looks when I kicked the chair in front of me and started ranting when Dover equalised.
A very strange day and buy the end of it I was knackered, just sat in Aggborough, gutted, thinking we'd blown our only chance.
Thankfully, it's turned out alright I suppose...

It doesn't really matter now but yes, it was a game we should have won. Still, Dover are doing well this season so maybe I'm not giving them credit.
