For you personally which 5 games watching the gas have mattered the most to you ( win ,lose or draw)?
1. Rovers v City ...... When we won promotion. I don't think anything will ever surpass that feeling of elation , relief and pure joy. 2. rovers v Huddersfield .... Wembley when we lost 2-1. Never felt more gutted at a football match. 3. Rovers v Grimsby.... Not a great game and was convinced we'd fall at final hurdle but it meant so much. 4.City v Rovers ..... When Beadle scored that last minute equaliser. Shutting those muppets up. 5. Rovers v Tranmere ..... Although just the paint pot trophy it was our first time at Wembley and I really really wanted to win , losing sort of spoiled a great day out.

1. Rovers V Grimsby (we HAD to get out of the Conference at the first attempt) 2. Rovers V Mansfield (to retain our FL status and avoid the unthinkable) 3. Rovers V Shrewsbury (to end the humiliation of being a basement club) 4. Any game against City especially 1990 and 2000 (when it seemed our 2-0 win at the Mem had put us back on track for automatic promotion) 5. FA Cup 5th round against Ipswich at Eastville (when the cup was still magical and a trip to Wembley the stuff of dreams)
The Huddersfield play off final hurt but for some reason the outcome didn't seem so crucial to me at the time. Same with Tranmere in the Freight Rover (or whatever it was called back then), we had already had a great season.

I'm going for most memorable for different reasons - just things that stuck in the memory bank
1) Eastville - Millwall 1984 - Mickey Barretts last game. Can still remember the near post header 2) Newport at Somerton park 1987 Perimeter fencing pulled down, 1-0 win ensured old div 3 survival 3) Southampton friendly in centenary year. Autograph hunting on team coach with one of the Wallace brothers flicking peas at Peter Shilton - couldn't catch any 4) Brentford away - Carl Saunders debut. Destroyed them 5) Shrewsbury away on a couple of occasions - one word. WEETABIX

I was barely born when it actually happened, but if I could jump in a time machine as me now and go back to experience any Rovers game ever, it would WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, be beating the sh!t at Twerton to get promoted to what is now the championship, in 90.
Something like that seems like such an incredible dream now.
Congrats to you lucky old lot who got to be there!
Perhaps now with the takeover giving us a fairer playing field against them, doing something like that again, will not be out of the realms of possibility!

Remember that game well. Hit the bar twice, missed a couple of easy chances, and my mate went for a water at 0-0 and came back a few minutes later and it was 1-1.

My five, in no particular order. These are more personal than purely Rovers related:-
Rovers vs Aston Villa - FA Cup 1980 - my first game Rovers vs Doncaster - Johnstone Paint final 2007 - my lad's first game Rovers vs Blackpool 1990 - Promotion winning game Rovers vs Brentford 2010 - Awful 0-0 draw but my lad was mascot for his birthday Rovers vs Shrewsbury - Play off final 2007 - First win at Wembley - Arrived late and missed the Shrewsbury goal!
And one more for luck,
Rovers vs Nuneaton - Jan 2015 - Don't think I've ever been colder at a football match

City away FA cup 1984,3-1 to Rovers.First time I had seen Rovers beat them in the cup. Hull away 1978,Paul Randall scores the only goal to keep Rovers in 2nd division (Championship). Southampton home 1978,2-0 to Rovers, great day. Stoke home League cup 71 or 72,biggest crowd that I was in at Eastville,33,600. Millwall away 93,last game at the Den,3-0 to Rover and a great atmosphere...end of an era
I think that Wembley should just be for full England internationals or the cup final so I havent been there with Rovers, would be good to see Rovers in the cup final.

1: 3-0 v City to win promotion and all but seal top spot. I doubt anything will ever beat this! 2: Grimsby last May. 3. Igoooooooeeeeeeeee!!!! 4. Huddersfield '95 Devastated 5. Tranmere '90. I know we lost but it was our first trip to Wembley, we had just won the league and it still felt like a celebration. Twentyman was fouled for the winner, though...... I wasn't there for Mansfield but that would definitely be on the list if I had been.

Grimsby 3 5 Rovers. I don't remember that one GasheadGaz. The only time we have beaten Grimsby 5-3 was at Eastville 1st Sept 1964, are you thinking the 3-5 Win at Lincoln in the playoffs? (17th May 2007)

2nd May 1990 v the sh*t (obvious)
Blackpool away 1990 (again obvious)
Grimsby at Wembley 2015 (important then, but with hindsight even more so)
Shrewsbury at Wembley (bought a ticket for my brother for his birthday, he left us a a few years later, so glad I did it)
Mansfield 2014. (Terrible then, but the catalyst for where we are now. )
