1st leg at Wimbledon on Thursday 12th May 7.45pm 2nd keg at the Mem on Sunday 15th 6pm kick off. Both games also live on Sky so hopefully will be shown at the Mem as only 600 fans will get tickets for Kingstone on Thames

Not sure either police force will fancy Plymuff v Pompey or Pompey v Plymuff on a Saturday night? Not sure whether it matters but probably impossible to get back to either town on the train as well at 10pm on a Saturday? Although perhaps the time can be moved to 6pm as well?

Seems a strange time to play it for a Saturday. It's 170 miles from Portsmouth to Plymouth, which is further than I thought. A lot will stay over and mayhem might follow.

It certainly seems odd to have evening kickoffs for the saturday and sunday fixtures

It has not been decided which game is which. In the previous two seasons, the team that ended up in fourth place has been game A one year, and game B in the other year. The league and TV will be deciding at the end of the week as I understand it.

As far as I know, not clear who will be Match A or Match B, but dates below. Higher finishing team usually gets home advantage in 2nd tie. Anyone know how they decide who is A or B? Sky Bet League 2 – Match A Leg 1: Thursday 12th May (7.45pm) Leg 2: Sunday 15th May (6.00pm) Sky Bet League 2 – Match B Leg 1: Saturday 14th May (7.30pm) Leg 2: Wednesday 18th May (7.45pm) Strange (unfair?) that Match A teams have two clear days between games whilst Match B teams have three clear days (and a couple of extra hours).

Bet you £20 if we are in the playoffs we will be match A (1st Leg 12th, 2nd leg 15th) Winnings to be donated to FFSc Are you up to the challenge?

you've answered your own question. Click on the link you've provided and the championship match clearly shows match A is 3v6 and match B is 4v5. Whilst this is not repeated on the lge 1 section, nor the lge 2 section, it is surely fair to assume the same principle ( with the obvious lge 2 amendment that it's 4v7 and 5v6).

It certainly seems odd to have evening kickoffs for the saturday and sunday fixtures It does but its all to do with the TV schedule. Sky want to show all play off semi finals from all three leagues so you can only have one of these during a weekday then at different times over the weekend also with the last day of the premier league as well. League two would also be their least priority so they dont care if there are any trains on Saturday or Sunday evenings.

I think that you're right that it'll be Sky Sports deciding which matches they want on which days. Given the the only thing left to decide in League 2 is who plays Wimbledon, then I'd have thought that they could get a move on and make the decision. Last year the play off semi final tickets were on sale on the Sunday straight after the last game. Surely Sky have to make a call on this in advance otherwise the teams won't be able to announce ticket details on Saturday evening.

Why would any Gashead want to potentially lose £20 betting on whether Accrington or Oxford are match A or match B?

I see that Portsmouth announced details of how to buy play-off tickets yesterday evening. Although they can't confirm whether they'll be Match A or Match B yet. Although as already pointed out, this is a moot point as we're going up automatically anyway. I just thought that some of the Oxford lurkers might be interested.

Whilst I'm still positive Saturday will be our last game of the season...
I think ours would be match A if we did finish 4th. Pompey - Plymouth would draw in the viewing figures, so Saturday night makes sense.
