It's important that all the squad chip in with goals (keepers excluded) after all a 25 man outfield squad that each score just three goals in a season brings in a 75 goal haul. For every player that doesn't get his 3 goal target somebody else needs to get that goal for him. I would like the staff to work with every individual player who currently doesnt score often to find out their best abilities and chances of scoring goals .To encourage a player to take that type of chance when it arrives and how to encourage that type of chance happening. Obviously given a choice I would prefer our defenders to keep 46 clean sheets to scoring a handful of goals between them....but they won't keep 46 clean sheets.
Rory will be fine and will play a part in next season's playoff push

As good as Richard Walker! He'll be OK next season. I hope he does a lot better than Walker did in league 1 lol

He is an excellent player and like many others have said he hasn't had a full pre season as a pro. Get that under his belt and keep hold of Taylor and we could have a 35-40 goal strike force on our hands!
Him and Taylors partnership reminds me of Heskey and Owen years ago. Owen has said Heskey was the best striker that he played with as he compliments him game so much and I see the same the Gaffney and Taylor. It's no coincidence that Taylor played so well and scored more when Gaffney was alongside him.

I think he is a great team player. His pace is good, he has a great touch and I actually think he is decent in the air. Goals will come but he creates space and opportunities for others anyway. I am glad he missed that header.(with hindsight) Plus he was in the right position to have grabbed a few goals on Saturday so goals will follow.

The accy squad would have had live info on how we were doing and at 1-1 all was fine for them.

I think yours is great too".

I've watched the seasons highlights maybe 8 or 9 times. I DO NOT understand football like many of you, when I read the Players Ratings I'm amazed how clever people are and how they read the game, but what I do know is this, Mr. Gaffney celebrates goals (not just his, but his team mates) ala Shearer, you know it's him. I've seen him walk goals into a net after leaving everyone in his dust. That's the 3rd player I've seen do that. George Best and Fernando Torres were the first 2. UTG!

8 goals in half a season, could be better but also a lot worse. It's ok.and he brings so much more to the game. He never gives up and is a real handful to defenders. MT has been at his best when Rory plays. When DC could have left him out he doesn't and seems to be a first choice. If that goal had gone in in first half I guess this thread would have been very different. He made us a better team and as we know with DC it's all about the team not the individual. Give him a full pre season and he will improve IMO. UTG!
