Disagree with you there, probably quid a kid all season would be fair But why Phil ? It's not as if there is not enough room. Rovers need to get and take every opportunity they can to get young uns hooked on Rovers. There is the added revenue for food and drinks etc. it would do no harm at all. Going back to my response to your post Phil, I didnt just respond as I did out of politeness, it went through my head that if a small charge was levied it might finance a turnstile for this reason, it seems not all went as well as expected yesterday so perhaps a dedicated turnstile or two for just this reason would help make things run as smooth as possible, big board over the top KID A QUID TURNSTILE, all should become clear and also help to promote it. One things for sure we need this generation of kids.

Jools after yesterday many will have got a buzz from attending & charging a quid wouldn't break the bank for their parents. would be interested to know what the percentage was of free entrants?

£1 a kid makes good sense, gives the club something and where else could the parents entertain their kids for a £1. As regards the turnstileI noticed that there were less turnstiles open Saturday which is obviously one of the cuts due to relegation therefore it would make no sense to open another turnstile.

Took mine for the first time in the stands and they enjoyed it. At £1 a kid i could do it - at a 10er a time for 3 kids i cant. The club, however, really need to have some form of entertainment in place before the game to keep the kids interested. I'd even go as far as suggesting id help! Hope they do it again/

I seem to recall attempts to do this at Twerton and I think the board are still haunted by problems with simply allowing kids to go through a turnstile and pay £1.
There were issues with parents dropping kids off at the ground and allowing them (some quite young) to go in unsupervised and then picking them up later. This does create all sorts of child welfare and safety issues. Plus there is always those kids who are a bit big for their age and needing to prove it and of course if a parent has also just dumped them then stewards and club staff have a problem.
While the advance ticket ensures the age of the child and also ensures a paying adult accompanies junior and these are the measures the club appear to have used since, it could all do with a rethink to make it easier and cut through the red tape.
