Really good initiative and very welcome but could have been organised better. Members of my family arrived for the match with 20 minutes to spare, queued at the turnstiles only to be told to go to the ticket office to get the free kids ticket. They then had to join a huge queue of similarly frustrated people waiting to pay and get free tickets, resulting in missing kick off. Why? Don't understand the necessity for this system. Surely there must be a way of doing this via the turnstiles. We should be trying to do as much to improve the match day experience as possible, thus encouraging repeat visits. On a plus side, thought the idea of having vendors wandering around selling popcorn, sweets etc was good.

The vuvuzelas were excellent. For a moment yesterday I thought people were going to direct anger towards the noise! I thought it was great.

It was clear to see yesterday the cost of relegation..ie less turnstiles open, less staff but this is a fact of life and there are going to be hardships and there is nothing wrong with bringing these things to the clubs notice but it seems that the forum generates moans, moans and more moans. Why did people not arrive earlier to avoid missing the kick off? Criticism works both ways. Probably people didn't arrive earlier because they assumed a small crowd and whatever system is employed no doubt there would be criticism. It doesn't matter what positive things the club do they will end up getting criticised on here. Another example would be the drinks...I have seen no praise whatsoever for the special deals on drinks but criticism for the queues!! Its the same with the communication from the Club,if they communicate they are criticised and if they don't they are criticised.

I was asked by 3 kids (probably 13/14) if I was buying a ticket as I could get them in for free, sadly for them I have a season ticket, I told them to speak to someone in the queue, but they said they'd tried that....
bit of a bummer if you want to watch rovers but your parents don't want to....

I took our two, one six and the other seven. They had a great a time in the South Stand, it was a nice opportunity to take the little girl who is six. Our little one got clapped as he sung Irene good night when the record played, probably could hear him in the opposite end [old Blackthorn end].

Now the egg chasers hut has gone from near the north terrace maybe put a ticket booth in it's place so the Dri build terrace and North terrace ticket sales are covered instead of walking all the way down past the club house bars.

The process for obtaining tickets was well publicised and all previous kids go free or quid a kid initiatives have all worked the same way So because it's always been that way that means we can't try to improve it? No, my point was that a) people should read the adverts properly and b) anyone who has taken this up before should have an idea even if they didn't read the advert properly. Of course if there's a better way we should explore it, it's ridiculous to suggest that's somehow what I meant!

Hey? This doesn't make sense. Surely if you had a season ticket then you could have got all 3 of them in for free.

Yes the correct process may have been in the publicity. My point is why have an extra (time consuming) step in the process when it would seem to be simple to just let people through the turnstiles. Maybe there is a good reason but it's not clear.

The club needs to do is run this initiative all season. Disagree with you there, probably quid a kid all season would be fair But why Phil ? It's not as if there is not enough room. Rovers need to get and take every opportunity they can to get young uns hooked on Rovers. There is the added revenue for food and drinks etc. it would do no harm at all.
