Has anybody read this article in today's Football League Paper? Does Virgo have anything interesting to say? Today's FLP | Guest column: @adamvirgs19 on why @official_BRFC could be the new Brighton eepurl.com/b1FTLb #utg There seems a couple of big articles on Lee Brown & Jamie Cureton as well in today's edition.

Virgo was one of the worst players we ever signed , awful footballer and a terrible influence off the pitch.

Hope the teds don't read this, they'll be frothing at the mouth and that thread about us will rocket into it's 300th page! Why, it's Virgo's seemingly suggesting it in the FLP not something one of us has suggested? But given our new stadium is apparently similar to the Amex and built by the same builders pus it looks likely we'll only be a division apart next season it doesn't sound that daft a suggestion anyway.

It's not a daft suggestion, there are a lot of similarities between us and brighton and once the uwe is built i expect us follow a similar path to them. The teds are trying to convince themselves we are the brfc of old and will be no threat to them. This is completely different entity now, even we don't know what we could be dealing with!

DARRELL SHOULD STAY TO ENJOY REWARDWHEN I was at Bristol Rovers three or four years ago, the club was a shambles: completely disorganised, everyone pulling in different directions. You had young lads in one clique, older guys in another. One board member with one plan, another board member saying 'No, let's do this'. Managers coming and going, transfers all over the place. There was no direction whatsoever and, having experienced it first hand, I wasn't at all surprised when they were relegated to the Conference in 2014. So, to see them back, in League One just two years later is remarkable and a testament to what a wonderful job Darrell Clarke has done. He stripped every-thing back and got young players hungry for success. He ripped up the wage structure so players were no longer coming for the cash. He zeroed in on everything that was rotten and fixed it. The worry for Rovers is that someone will recognise that work and lure him away. It's certainly a possibility, but I think Darrell would do well to stick around. With the new owners coming in, a new stadium on the horizon and a phenomenal fanbase, they could be like Brighton in a few years. Adam Virgo - The Football League Paper - Sunday 15 May 2016 Do buy a copy and read the one page article on Darrell Clarke: Trigger has won battle of hearts and minds
Did not know that Daz was called Trigger! There is also a long article on Lee Brown.

Regardless of how he did for us he has lots of praise for us at the moment. Not only the club but us fans as well. He wasn't the only one to blame back then, for a start he ending up as a striker! Also most of us will agree with his statement about the way the club was run back then.

The club was a Dam shambles.
No point attacking Virgo for saying so.

To think it was Celtic who payed a million for him once upon a time, we got him for free, blessing or what ?

I have been reading this exchange with some interest. The quasi-erudite depictions of Adam are in some cases laughable. I'll leave you all to deduce which depictions I allude to. I coached Adam and his brother when they were boys. My son is a friend of the Virgo boys. They are good people. Comparisons with the evolution of Brighton are very apt - Brighton as a football club is a model of emotional intricacies and triumph over despair. The fan base has been through very challenging times. Adam's plaudits for Darrell speak volumes for the Rovers' manager's achievements alongside his staff. Given the optimism that prevails now regarding the Rovers, a tone of respect and modesty would enhance everyone's views, in my opinion.
