I see LVG reckons Man U fans' expectations are too high as they are in a period of transition.......

Mmm. Heard that one before and it didn't end too well for the manager who said it!

Cracked me up last night, LVG was giving his end of season speech on the pitch to the fans, and all you could hear was 'sacked in the morning...' Must admit I'd be gutted if that was me.

Should be sacked soon after the fa cup final Agree, such a negative outlook, makes some our c*** managers look positive. Can you imagine Fergie coming out with some of those excuses?

I assumed that was Bournemouth fans? It couldn't have been Utd fans as the stadium was half empty for the game, and by the time LVG spoke, most had left !

It was after we had lost another home game and the fans had "expressed their displeasure" with the team and manager. The comment about Bristolians being lady gardens was made in the privacy of the dressing room but was then leaked by one of the players. To be fair (not that I want to be) the atmosphere after that game was toxic to say the least and I suspect he was trying to tell the players not to take it personally, but by then Buckle was so unpopular it quickly got around that he hated the fans, possibly not being clever enough to realise the feeling was mutual. If my recollection is accurate Buckle was sacked a couple of weeks after this incident.

I also remember that, when he was unbelievably given the Luton job he said words to the effect of " I have reflected back on my time at Rovers and wondered if I could have done anything different. I came to the conclusion that I did everything right and wouldn't have changed a thing. That is the pholsophy I will take to Luton" Arrogant little Tosser.

I believe Phil Kite may have gently pointed out to Mr Buckle that he may like to recosider his view after a period of quiet reflection.
Ahem.
