Less travelling than this season. No Hartlepool or Carlisle. More centralised league. Looking forward to going to Bolton.

Less travelling than this season. No Hartlepool or Carlisle. More centralised league. Looking forward to going to Bolton. Just done the maths. Roughly 6,700 miles to be traveled next season. Not sure how that compares to last season, but I'm sure it's much more this time around.

Carlisle topped the list at 11,810.

Plenty of games that us exiles in Yorkshire can attend.

I really think we can be up there again. I expect us to be mid table at least.

I'd definitely settle for some mid table consolidation this year, but, otoh this winning games thing can be addictive.

All depends on the summer recruitment. As it stands I think we have a squad that is lower half to mid table. 3 or 4 signings make us a top half team imo
Obviously that includes retaining the best of the current crop

Never underestimate a winning mentality and a settled squad. We also have the best of the lower league managers IMHO. Why stop here?

As has been said, winning definitely becomes a habit, and with possibly one of the most settled squads in the league and the brightest young manager in the league for sure who's to say we can't go on and have another unbelievable season.
I'm sure Burton weren't on anyone's radar at the start of the season just gone.
Saying all of that I'd without a doubt be happy with a mid table finish, but also believe that we can, with the right recruitment push on again and make the play-offs and I know DC won't be looking at consolidation, we know that's not how he thinks, whatever happens it's gonna be an exciting season.

I just look at the league and what is there to be scared of?
It is a lot weaker than when we had the likes of Southampton, Leeds Leicester etc. Not one team scares me massively. Sheffield Utd are favourites yet like Pompey in league two they've been here before and not done it yet. I think we have the best chance of the promoted sides too. The fact that all 3 of us are 20/1 or below suggests this league isn't that tough at the minute.
Reading that back I think I've turned into our Rich!!
