And what's in it for Chelsea? I read an article on Harry Kane this week, and they said sending him to a couple of league one teams helped him develop, the U21 scene isn't that fast paced where-as the lower leagues tend to be, if players can get earn their trade, get quicker reactions/feet etc at a lower level then they'll benefit if they're a rough diamond when they go back to their parent clubs.

Ive heard Abromovich has money in the Al-Qadi banks. who knows, there could be some truth in the OPs claim. Stranger things have happened to Rovers over the years, being bought by a billionaire Jordanian for one. Perhaps he wants to invest enough money to build a stadium? an No I don't want to become a feeder club, or even have first "dabs"

Have heard a whisper that we have created a (as yet unofficial) link with Chelsea FC... Will include potential feeder club terms, ie we get first dibs on youth players coming through Chelsea to come here on loan and also some sort of link with regards to scouting as well. A meeting was called last week to discuss the link and what it will mean for the club. That is about all I know at the moment, as and when I hear more I will stick it on here. Interesting, I was thinking this was a possibility.

I can't see DC being over the moon about this. In fact he might be sick as a parrot. At the end of the day, he's his own man. The team picks itself, and someone sticking their oar in might leave us up the creek without a paddle. When the dust has settled, we'll be there or thereabouts. It's not over till the fat lady sings, but you can't win anything with kids.

Is there any real need to post this? Not a need but a want. I wanted to so I did. Look at you you little rebel! Basically James Dean! Do what you want don't you? You managed to get accepted as a forum Mod yet? Or are you still getting passed over for more likable people? Still, they can't stop you creating 100 pointless threads a month can they!

And what's in it for Chelsea? Presumably when we get the next Scott Sinclair come through he will be off to Chelsea with a lot less fuss. PS - I don't wanna sound like I am having a sulk here boys, but I only posted what I was told. Not sure there is any need for the stick! I won't bother saying anything next time I am told.

Also even if there is truth in this, we don't have to yes to every player and if we do pretty sure they wouldn't end up playing every game.

Completely see your point, but I would think if this were to happen it would still very much be DC's call as to who we bring in from them if anyone (of the players Chelsea make available obviously). Thankfully we seem to have a switched on board at long last and I don't see them doing anything to rock the boat with DC.

Have the new rules been passed where loans now have to last for 12 months? If so, I can't see DC would object to having a couple of extra players for the season from Chelsea, assuming they tick all the right boxes as far as he's concerned? An exciting young winger would do nicely for starters!

Here's a list of the Chelsea u21 development team. www.chelseafc.com/teams/development-squad/under-21s.htmlMiro Muheim looks a good prospect for a winger, also worth bearing in mind that Chelsea U21s Won the FA youth cup for a third time in a row and also won the uefa youth cup.

An exciting young winger would do nicely for starters! Not only that, but they'll probably cost us nowt ! DC could have a couple of exciting youngsters added to the squad without cutting into his budget. What's not to like?
