I don't understand what all the fuss is about. DC will have the final say if we take any loan signings and if they play.
We've had lots of loan players over the past two seasons and some of them have been decent.
I've got no problem with being a feeder club to Chelsea it's not like we've been able to keep hold of our best players if a bigger team has come in for them before

No problem with this myself as others have said, DC will have the final say on who comes in and who's playing and that's good enough for me.
I see in one the the papers this morning that Roberto DiMatteo is hoping to use his friendship with Eddie Newton at Chelsea to help get some of their kids on loan at Villa, if it's good enough for them I'm sure it's good enough for us,I can understand peoples concerns about becoming a 'feeder' club but honestly don't think there's a chance of this happening, the Al-Qadis bought us to take us to the top, not be anyones B team.

To reiterate all, 'Feedr club' was just a term that I used as it seemed to sum up the relationship as I was told quite well, but those words were not used directly!
As I have gone on to say, I think this will be a far more casual link up then that.

Seems to be an educated prediction tbh, new owner is a mad Chelski fan so it seems obvious we could approach them for players.
I doubt there would be anything 'official' in it though, what would Chelsea get out of it? Yeah sure their players get first team football but I doubt they would have any trouble loaning their players to other clubs.
OP seeking attention most probably.

Clubs now are starting to go down the route with loanees of saying it's £x a week if they play but 2 x £x a week if they don't. This is to ensure that actually get the games under their belt. At best this could impact on the playing budget at worst lead to awkward questions from the board to DC about wasting money. The long and the short of it is clubs like Chelsea don't loan players to help out other clubs they loan out players because it's in the interests of Chelsea.

From what twertonkid has said it's a bit more informal than that, but I see your point. I've got faith that the current board and DC wouldn't accept terms that are detrimental to the club

I can assure you, I have not made this up! I was told by the same chap I am told all of my bits and bobs about the club this bit of info and he has not been wrong yet. Neither he or I have any reason to make something up or indeed guess.

Its a bit like me pretending to be a spiritual medium and then asking a large audience if they have lost anyone called John in their lives, basic generalisation.
Not saying it wont happen, but even the Bristol Post could connect the dots on that possible story

We have crossed swords a few times on the old forum TK, Im not sure how you have managed to changed username but still get remembered for the ps2 thread!
Like I said i'm not saying you or your mate are lying, its just that anyone could make that connection and pass it off as a rumour.
Just out of interest what stuff has he been right with before?

Oh have we? I have other things that fill my brain to be honest.
The most notable was the Paul Buckle calling Bristolians lady gardens. This chap was in the changing room and he told me the very next day.
Others have generally been players leaving or indeed joining. Hoskins was one that again sticks out for me.
As I have said, he generally gets these things from several horses mouths.

Hmm, so its someone who works part-time for Rovers and was here during the Buckle reign.
Seems like you should tell him to stop gossiping if anything it would make situations worse, especially when its plastered on the internet the next day.

Some harsh stuff aimed at the OP. It's a wonder anyone posts any info here. Feeder club was a phrase used by the OP to avoid lengthy explanations of the ins and outs as we all know how it works. It's pretty simple, we get some of their promising kids, if they are outstanding they will go back if they are good, but not top class we get good chance of keeping them. Likewise if we unearth a gem they get first dibs. Can't see what all the fuss is. Makes sense to me to forge links with a big club with too many players. Appreciate that dude, kind of you to say so. I have just been told something about the kit that made me laugh as well! By the same dude, to be honest I have always felt a bit weird posting things he has told me on here as sometimes it has been pretty obvious that it is a leak from within the club and if it got back to this chp he would presumably be in for the high jump! I won't bother risking it again both her sake and mine! Not worth it. Just PM me the gossip instead. I wouldn't want to miss out. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
