To be fair, Bodin was crap when he came here. He could barely kick the ball straight. DC just gave him a short term contract because he felt sorry for him. He showed no skill or application at all. Yatesy even made him clear out the old equipment locker round the back of the Dribuild so disappointed was he in Bodin's potential.
But, on sorting through the old rubbish, moldy bibs, holey nets, old police cones, and various other bits of flotsam, Billy came across a pair of old football boots. They had the initials GB written on them in fountain pen.
Then the next day at training Billy Bodin had forgotten his new boots. He'd left his Nike Mercurials on the 73 bus. And had to do training with no boots. He didn't want to face DC's wrath, and was going to pretend to be injured, when he suddenly remembered the pair of old boots he'd found the day before. They may have been old, stiff, brown leather ones, from the fifties, thought Billy, but they would be better than nothing. So soon Billy tentatively made his way to training in that old pair of Geoff Bradford's boots...

I see what you did there. Wonder if there are any of Jim Eadie's goalkeeping gloves lying around the Mem?
