Copied from Facebook.... "On a day like today, when evil - as it so often does - rears its ugly head, we can but find the smallest of solace in a photograph like this. Here you can see two Police Officers detaining a suspected murderer. He was armed. They weren't. Not only this, but the news reports that a member of the public also put his fears aside in order to wrestle this evil man. Don't underestimate the bravery on display here. Not for one second. To approach someone who is armed and has displayed murderous intent takes more courage than most of us can ever imagine. Knowing that, in a flash, your life could be ended and that you may not be able to see your loved ones again - wondering when exactly you last told them that you loved them. This is yet another tragic incident where a woman has lost her life without explanation. We join those in paying respect and mourning a tragic loss, whilst also commending those that keep us safe - without a second thought for their own safety - day after day after day. Let us not remember the name of the evil individual. Let us remember the name of the victim and those that intervened."

I don't mean to be flippant but they didn't actually name the 2 police officers nor the victim??

I have a lot of mates in the army and each one signed up knowing what they signed up for. If you look at the pics the cops are wearing vests so it's not as if they dont expect trouble day to day i will say the same as i said before those two are paid to do the job, but the real hero is the pensioner who had a go and not because it was part of his job
