Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce that Ollie Clarke has signed a new deal with the club. Central midfielder Ollie has suffered a spate of injury problems since signing his first professional contract at the club, though he is a highly rated midfielder who has impressed each of the club’s manager’s in the last six years. Ollie has made over 100 appearances in the blue and white quarters scoring eight goals and the battling told us he was delighted to have signed his new deal. “It’s brilliant to have re-signed with the club it's been a great few years here. "Being a Bristol lad I know what it means to the club and fans being back in League One and I’m really looking forward to the challenges ahead this season." Clarke becomes the 11th player from the promotion winning squad to agree a new contract with the club, following teammates Steve Mildenhall, Daniel Leadbitter and Billy Bodin, James Clarke, Lee Mansell, Mark McChrystal, Ellis Harrison, Cristian Montano, Will Puddy and Jake Gosling. With Lines certain to sign also I'm not sure we'll see another centre midfielder come in, but I hope we do

'The battling told us' - what!? Someone typing that out on a phone and forgetting to proof! I thought the club were better than the post!
Glad about Ollie, good player on his day and should only improve!

ive got my doubts about ollie in league 1 but hes a great lad and keeps improving so who knows? I agree with that , I thought he would be one of the leavers if I'm being honest . I really hope he can make the step up as like you said he seems a really nice lad who does give his all every time he's on the pitch.

Lines set to sign. Just leaves Taylor now. Has Easter signed? He has 'triggered a clause in his contract' to remain. So I guess.

I'd rather our squad's never say die attitude than a load of expensive egos.

To me this shows the spirit and togetherness in the squad . I'm sure there are a few of the players who realise it my be a difficult and maybe frustrating season ahead of them ,where chances might be slim for them to play. The fact they want to keep hold and still be apart of the good feelings and self belief says plenty about the team and why it has been successful. I hope the continued use of different formation s and changing those playing continues ,its kept everyone fresh ,everyone concentrating and everyone involved. The day we slip into that same starting eleven playing the same formation every week will be the end of the journey......

He is a young lad still and should continue to improve and the better the league he should improve quicker, and he'll need to. But over 100 games shows he has been around for a few years and has battled through the bad times so I'm pleased for him. He never seems worried when he plays and always gets stuck in and gives 100%. Like 1973 I'm worried if he'll make it but I guess at the end of this season we'll know. Good luck Ollie.
