Ticket allocation - how many is it likely to be. Should be a good following first game back even though a bit difficult travel wise?

We did Scunny away on the opening day before, Lee Hodges got the winner against his old side if memory serves me correctly. From what I remember it's not the most memorable of places.

Looking forward to this. I remember a few years ago we did them 2-0 away, with goals from Kuffour and Duffy. Never been so cold but it was a really good performance that day.

They finished 7th last year ,home average crowd of about 3,900 So not too big a shock for the players probably a 5000 crowd ,but a difficult game where concentration will be important.

yes just off of the M181. If you park in their car park remember they keep you in until all the walking fans have cleared (stuck for ages last time)

For those of you who may be driving up to this game watch where you park around the ground - there's a couple of private roads with poorly signposted parking restrictions displayed which you cant easily see until its too late! - parking patrol vehicles wait surreptitiously till you leave your car then photograph your car and send you a "parking charge notice" demanding £160. The company behind this has been chasing me for the money ever since we last played them a few years ago. They have no legal grounds for enforcing the parking charge but they are relentless in their pursuit of anyone who parks on their land in the hope that their bully tactics make people pay up.

You don't have to be an arse to support arsenal. You don't have to be lady garden to support Scunthorpe. But you've got to be prick to support Bristol C**y

Quickly reconfiguring journey back from holiday in Northumberland to take in....Scunthorpe! Involves an overnight stay somewhere nearby. FIrst game of the season though might be Berwick v Kilmarnock in the Scottish League Cup (in July).

A bit harsh, I see just as many things from others and they seem to survive.

They had better not go to a game then!
Very harsh if he was banned for that imo.

'Interesting' fact Scunthorpe was the original setting of 'Get Carter'. Good atmosphere in the ground but Scunny is a bit of a dump.
