Just wanted to say a big thank you to Ian aka Henbury Gas.. Did a right good job on a PC of mine that I'd literally given up all hope on.. Now working perfectly..

When my laptops slow down to the speed of an arthritic snail with startup problems, blue screen crashes and juddery internet connections, normally after about 6 years, I wipe all data and restore to factory settings. Then junk it. Which, judging from the size of the pile at the local tip, lots of others do too. Like an old car.
Can you really restore a knackered old PC for a reasonable sum when a new one starts from only £180? Of course if it was a nearly new Apple MacBook Pro, I might attempt a rescue operation.
