Been thinking back to the 2 year contract we have given him and what a great bit of business I think it will prove to be. He has proven himself to us and showed signs of improving as the season went on and I see no reason why this can't continue. With Taylor having such a good season, I think Bodin has gone a little unnoticed at the moment but feel in a year's time clubs will be after him. At least, he will still have a year's contract so we can either keep him or get a fee for him.

Agree, he did really when he originally joined us and really pushed on in the second half of the season.
I think he will easily step up to league 1 and score 10-15 goals this season.

I think people need to calm down with BB. He had a good run in the 2nd half of last season but apart from that he hasn't set the world alight.

My favourite current Rovers player.
Bloke has absolutely magic feet, can spot and play a ball that unlocks defences, and scores plenty from the wing.
Still young too. Excellent player IMO.

The other good news with Taylor signing is that it should signal the end of the Bodin up front experiment, he's a class winger

Quality indeed but never as good in the second half which I can't fathom. At Carlisle, superb goal and touch first 45 mts but disappeared second half like he did at Notts County.Great movement, vastly improved but doesn't do it in the second half.

Agreed.BB is one who will always look to be creative, won't always come off for him but must be a nightmare to play against. We were long overdue getting a few players that opposition fans fear mind.

IMO there is a nice balance having Bodin cutting inside onto his left foot and looking for a shot or pass, and Leadbitter tearing down the flank on the outside of him. Gives the opposition two different problems to worry about and deal with, as opposed to just having a winger and the fullback behind him both wanting to play in the same way and hugging the touchline.

It does matter to some extent because you want to use the whole width of the pitch to break down some teams. BB does occasionally go on the outside but IMO should do this more then he can add more assists to his arsenal.

Surely we do use the whole width of the pitch because Leadbitter is always bombing down the flank? I personally wouldn't tell Bodin to change much at all about the way he was playing last season. He was grabbing goals and assists and Leadbitter was getting assists too with the space given to him on the wing by Bodin drifting into more central areas. Some games may require a chalk on the boots winger, but Bodin isn't that man IMO.
