I suspect there ain't many players who have shot 63 & 65 in a major and not gone on to win.

Great final round battle between Stenson and Mickleson - pleased to see Henrik finally pick up a Major.
I wonder what the Sky viewing figures will be like, in comparison to the BBC highlights programmes?

I wonder what the Sky viewing figures will be like, in comparison to the BBC highlights programmes? Ah, the old Sky v BBC argument. When the BBC (and ITV) had the tv monopoly in the UK, we never got to see any of the big sporting events that were held overseas. With Sky, we can now see the Masters, we can see the USPGA, and all the other top tournaments. We can see the Lions Rugby tours, we can see England play cricket anywhere in the world. Sky bought major sport into our homes, something the BBC neglected to do for many many years.

This year was the first time that play was broadcast from the start of play - why the BBC never did this via the red button is a mystery. I ditched Sky about a year ago, so watched The Open coverage via a Now TV box and a £10.99 7 day pass. I thought that the Sky coverage was excellent, with the ads being spaced out and short!

The Sky coverage of Golf has always been very good. In fact, when they had the 3D Channel it was even better! In 3D you could actually see the way the Greens sloped, you could see every contour, something you just cannot see in 2D. The only problem was that the commentators on the 3D Channel were crap!

The Masters was always shown by the BBC nobby.Granted Sky have covered the US Open and the USPGA major golf championships and lots of other sporting events we didn`t see on the BBC and ITV like the US Open tennis Australian Open tennis England away cricket test matches etc.
I think Sky do a great job in whatever sport it covers having said that the Open was pants on Sky, too many adverts and no Peter Alliss the Open isn`t the same without him or Ken on the course.

Golf without Alliss is like cricket without Arlott. And boxing without Harry. It just isnt the same.
