My club.............
In Germany, Golf is still a pretty snobbish affair. There are no public courses. To play, you have to be a Member of a Club.....somewhere. In the Frankfurt area the cheapest Membership is about 1200 Euros per year (1000 quid). The most expensive is a place near Königstein, which costs about 10,000 per year.......so 'My Club' is about 300 miles away, because they offer 'long distance membership' at 150 quid a year! I've never been there, but I get my PGA Membership Card !

When we say "my club" we mean the club we are members of.I do not own the Players Club that honour belongs to the excellent golf designer Adrian Stiff who purchased the land near Codrington and designed two great courses.

Thanks for that. I thought you had won big money and bought yourself a Golf Club.

Golf is basically snooker combined with a stroll in the countryside.

Golf is basically snooker combined with a stroll in the countryside. I agree, I think it is a great skill but not a sport.

Do you mean the par 3 course and the Codrington? As the Stranahan is dreadful.
My club will be Chipping Sodbury as of the 1st Aug, that's after a year out and my swing being totally transformed from John Daly to a more suitable swing!

Not had a hole in one since playing the Pirate Crazy Golf at Hambrook about 2yrs ago!
A mate of mine got one at Knowle last year and someone else at Castlecombe on the weekend!
Jaggas - Did you not have to buy everyone a drink seeming as it was in a comp? I thought that was the rule!

At our club you use a bottle of whiskey from behind the bar so that everyone who wants can have a drink you just replace the bottle.
