Every season I like putting on some pre season bets and just generally previewing the season. Would be interesting to hear views of others. m.oddschecker.com/m/football/english/premier-league/winnerConsidering Chelsea for the Prem. Think it is wide open this year but 6/1 seems a fair price to me with the signings of Kante and Batshuayi. I have a feeling, Cuadrado will shine this season under his previous manager. However, I am seriously considering backing us at 25/1. I don't think we will win it but with momentum and keeping hold of our players I can see us outperforming our odds and being around the playoffs. I won't be backing Sheff Utd, as 6/1 is short enough, they do have plenty of strength in depth especially up front. Portsmouth are obvious favourites at 9/2 and will be amazed if they are not up there somewhere. However, at 9/2 they have to be taken on. And I am going to stick my neck on the line and plump for two outside bets in Notts County (25/1) and Stevenage (50/1). Notts County have John Sheridan in charge, who I believe is a very underrated manager. He has experience of winning this league with Chesterfield. Plymouth fans don't seen over keen on Sheridan but he done a job there, steadied the ship and got them to the playoffs. The football may have been boring but he improved them. And then we have Newport last season, they were rock bottom when Sheridan was appointed last season if I remember rightly? He came in and completely turned the fortunes of the team around including beating us 4-1 on our own patch! They have good enough plaers to be doing better in my opinion, and a strikeforce of Stead and Forte looks strong for league two. Stevenage, finished the season fairly well especially defensively. They have tried to improve things up front during the summer signing profilic goascorer Matthew Godden from Ebbsfleet, Rowan Liburd from Reading and Jake Hyde from York. |

I don't mind threads going off topic if they're humorous, but the whole bashing on a thread GGMI creates thing is a bit boring now. Don't think the thread should have been moved either, but whoever did moved it to the wrong section.  |

Right, so when ggmi winds-up and deliberately provokes that's OK, when posters do the same to him its not OK.
I've said it loads of times if he can't take it he shouldn't give it.
I think he gets preferential treatment because of the amount of posts he makes!
You just have to look back at posts in general chat to see a lot worst posts than what was posted on this thread.
Why weren't they deleted?
Maybe because admin wants him posting 100's of posts per day and don't want him leaving...
Just a thought.

Other posters say something similar to someone who makes countless posts and all of a sudden posts gets deleted... |

I don't care if someone posts 100s of times or just reads to be honest. I deleted posts here because its becoming a pattern where some appear to just attack GGMI regardless of what he posts. He has been one of the most moderated posters on this forum but in my opinion has not been a particular problem recently. (I know he is no angel) None of the mods ever moderate general chat, we just leave you all to get on with it, but in this instance it just read as another unnecessary pop at a poster that divides opinions. Maybe I was wrong to have deleted posts, maybe not. I was unsure when I did it, and I'm unsure now. As I say, just lately it seems GGMI posts something and 3 or 4 people just go to town on it regardless of what he's posted. If GGMI is the attention whore everyone thinks he is then surely ignoring him, blocking him or dropping a pm to a mod when he's broken rules would be more effective. I can assure you he does not get preference here, indeed it may be worth remembering why I became a mod again.... |

You often moan about my posts but you follow me around on here like a lost puppy and then you moan when you don't get the reaction you want out of me, I will wind you up in that situation, in fact I like a little wind up full stop which doesn't always translate as well on here as it does in person. I am very opinionated on here and appreciate that doesn't always go down well. I don't really care if you think it is sad or whatever that I post a lot on here, it is up to me what I do with my time. Surely it is much more sad writing post after post about a specific forum member and how much that person posts? Matter closed, cheers Hugo. |

Just had a look, you can still get 80/1. Andre Gray and Michael Keane will really make people sit up and notice them for Burnley this coming season IMO. Can see both of them becoming England Internationals. Michael Keane even has potential to be a future England captain IMO. Watch this space. |

Agree with that, hope Keane doesn't go Leicester as he needs to play a full season in the premier league before thinking of moving. Really like Dyche as a manager and think they'll stay up. |
