I've got high hopes for this guy. At least the ball's in our court regarding his fitness. I just hope Darrell doesn't take any unnecessary risks with him.
3 year contract is probably in the post.

I do wonder just how many games we will get out of him this coming season. I'm going to guess about 25,but if we got 15-20 right now i would probably take it.Hopefully he will be our only real sick note that we have to take a chance on.

Should be an outstanding player in the conference. If he proves his fitness though surely there will be a league side in for him?

He has the potential to be the best player in the division. Fingers crossed he can stay fit.

IF he stays fit COULD be a huge asset, but massive questions over his injury history and has been known to have attitude problems. The jury is out for me.

One of the things that the club review must be how to improve player fitness and resistance to injuries. It's an area we've been so weak in for far too long.

Its a massive no from me.
We should not be signing players with known injury and attitude problems. We have shown in the past that we are completely unable to manage either problems well.

Totally agree HTE. Think he will most likely find a league side. I am still pretty watered at the deal to bring him to us as were were showing signs of at least stabilising at that time but it's done.

Spot on HTE.
The thing is if he proves himself fit then he is far to good to be in the conference and will probably find a league side. If he isn't fully fit and recovered then he will probably see us as the best option as no one else will touch him. We could end up with a half fit Gow only playing 15 or so games. Money we could better spend elsewhere I think regardless of his quality. If he proves his fitness and signs then great, he could be the best player at this level, but I just can't see it.

Clarke won't put up with players who don't care and haven't got the right attitude. If Gow stays, and works hard to get fit, I think Clarke will be able to see whether he cares about playing or just wants the cash.
Basically I trust Clarke to make the right decision.

Could easily be sort with a pay as you play deal.

We're going to need a few experienced heads in the team especially if we recruit conference players and youngsters.
The reason we signed him was because of the goals he scored from midfield. If JJ leaves there's even more reason to keep him (if DC thinks he's fit enough.
Amazingly he still ended up as Exeter's top scorer!

I agree with what you're saying, but he doesn't really score goals from midfield in the same way that Gerrard or Lampard do (easy examples). They score goals playing as out-and-out central midfielders, in the same way that JJO'T did for us when he was played a bit deeper and not behind the striker. Gow isn't really a CM but more a second striker or 'in the hole' type player. You'd never really get Gow playing with two strikers upfront in a 4-4-2, as he would have to be one of the strikers. So I guess it depends whether Clarke is looking to play 4-4-2 or a system with one striker upfront and then have Gow playing off of that man. If that makes any sense at all... But I'd agree with Hugo anyway, I'd stay clear due to injury history. No more crocks please.
