Roos 8 thought he looked shaky at Swindon and against Reading but was very dominate today, caught everything and distributed well.
J. Clarke 6.5 pick of the back 3 Lockyer 6 distribution let him down Hartley 5 looked off it today
Bodin 4 He finished last season strongly and I expected him to kick on this but he has still to get going Lines 7 good game in the main apart from a few stray passes Boateng 8 great debut, strong on the ball, some great passes - particularly to Browner early on and a few neat tricks too Brown 5 not at his best by a long chalk
Sinclair 7.5 He ran and ran and got his foot in
Taylor 8 2 more goals to push his value up a little further, his second was Prem quality Easter 5.5 in and out of the game but mostly out
Subs: Harrison 6 needs a bit more composure and needs to learn to be a bit craftier in challenges to win more free kicks Colkett 7 showed his Chelski class in the short time he was on - excited to see him grow this season in a Rovers shirt James 5 could have made a better cross when free on left
Crowd 4 Seemed asleep for the most part Ref 4 poor - annoyed he didn't give the foul on Taylor prior to their second Rochdale 5 gave us a few scares and Bunny is still a threat but I expect them to go down this season

Roos 6 got caught in no mans land for one goal, handled the ball better second half and some good kicking J. Clarke 4 thought he was poor today Lockyer 5 nowhere near his best so far Hartley 6 struggled when playing wide against their winger, much better when playing in the middle of defence Bodin 4 another nowhere near his best Lines 6 some good moments, some poor, booking didn't help Boateng 7 stood out first half, looked impressive and surprised he went off with Lines carrying a booking Brown 5 didn't get to grips with the formation whatever it was we started with, better second half, just wish now and again he would take the player on down the line Sinclair 6 gives everything, but not much vision going forward Taylor 7 two goals one a beauty Easter 5 gets a start and we play a wierd system, needs the ball to feet Subs: Harrison 5 improved us in the air, chest control let him down when he had a chance Colkett 6 made more foward passes to players accurately in the short time he was on James not on long Crowd 4 Ref 4 fussy Rochdale 6 should have rapped it up first half, and it could have cost them

Roos 6.5 looked a bit shaky at the start, grew i confidence as the game went on J. Clarke 6 a bit of good and bad Lockyer 5 he's not been the player we know all season, time to take the armband away Hartley 5.5 set up both Taylor goals but defensively poor Bodin 5 not his day Lines 6 not at his best Boateng 8 MoM a great debut, a lot of quality Brown 5 (first half 4 second half 6) very uncomfortable with the diamond,he needs Monty in front of him Sinclair 7.5 worked his socks off Taylor 7.5 did his job well, a great second goal Easter 5.5 poor by his standard Subs: Harrison 6.5 should have started Colkett 7 a sweet left foot, a lovely cameo performance James 5 not on long enough to make his mark Crowd 6 a bit subdued Ref 3 shocking Rochdale 6 an ok side I'd like their big no. 9 who gave our suspect defence problems

Roos 7 Early nerves not helped by the back four. Excellent under the high ball and a stunning low down save near the end. Clarke 4 To often giving the ball away when on the wrongside of his man. Lockyer 4 Poorest game for a long time easily beaten by his man time and time again. Hartley 5 steady but not helped by those around him having poor games. Brown 4 As Clarke, to often allowing his man to get wrongside of him. Bodin 4 Poor, nothing more to say. Sinclair 7.5 MOM. But for his defensive interceptions we would have lost this game. Best member of the defence by a country mile today! Boateng 7 Confirmed he is a class player, dropped out of the game in the second half, probably a lack of match fitness. Lines 6 Steady game, the acquisition of Boateng is surely going to take a lot of the load of him. Easter 5 Showed the usual touches of class but prefer him coming off the bench rather than starting. Taylor 6.5 Class second goal, high workrate but a lot of it wasteful and caught offside far to often.
Harrison 5.5 Ellis tries hard but is still very naïve and pushed off the ball far to easily. James 5 Hardly in the game but what he did was OK. Colkett 6 Came on late, played two delightful through passes into space that showed me why he is a highly regarded Chelsea youngster.
Ref 4 Usual inconsistent display we are rapidly seeing as the norm these days. Crowd 4 Obviously very underwhelmed on what was put in front of them today. DC 3 Says the Swansea defender has looked very good in training and then makes him sit in the stand and watch Clarke and Brown look very unconvincing in both defensive and attacking roles and could not find a place on the bench for Montano who did the 50/50 draw instead!

Roos.Great late save.handling good.Dithers too long before distributing the ball. 7 Clarke. 6 Lockyer.Poor distribution. 6 Hartley.Better in the middle.too slow when wide.Played a major part in setting up our first goal.6 Brown .Much too far forward leaving us badly exposed too often.5 Bodin.awful.3 Sinclair.Gave it his all.Doesn't pass forward sadly.6.5 Boeteng.8 .MOM Lines .Powerful surges but once or twice lost possession. Why does he take EVERY corner? 7 Easter.Pulled out of challenges and not one shot.4 Taylor.Lost possession to provide their first goal but provided our only genuine goal threat.Cracking second goal.7.5 Harrison.Poor control.4 James.Didn't notice him 4 Colkett.Cameo performance but quality 7 Ref .Very fit.6. Crowd .Subdued.Had little inspiration to lift them.5 DC.5 Our passing was poor.to-day.Needs to improve considerably for Tuesday. Rochdale. Neater than us.6 See Matt Lund played for them but have to say I didn't notice him

Lot of curates eggs performances from the lads today (good in parts) reflected by the wide ranging scores for the same players.
Roos 6 started poorly (4) finished commandingly (8)
Brown 6 found room going forward (7) left holes behind him (5) Hartley 5 good as an asset at set pieces (7) rubbish defending far too often (3) Lockyer 6 felt sorry for him as the left side of defence deserted him, unconvinced by the idea of sending him up for set pieces as he keeps defending for the opposition at them! Clarke 6 excellent diving header and sound enough defensively but forays forward ended in stage fright and nosebleeds and tamely surrendering the ball.
Bodin 5 some great moments getting the ball under control to then give it away with a mis hit shot or a weak pass and then he faded away Lines 6 some good runs, good dead balls, tenacious tackling (8) careless giving the ball away, over hit passes, strange decision making (4) Boateng 7 barnstorming start several diagonal balls found Browner, understandably faded second half was my MOTM first half Sinclair 7.1 when he was announced MOTM I thought he was behind Boateng but he convinced me in the last ten minutes because his standards, his work rate and his speed did not deteriorate. Well done the beard!
Easter 6 quiet game by his recent standards but still delivered quality and nous when others went missing Taylor 6 some "8" moments like the second goal, some "4" moments like gifting the ball for their first goal
Harrison 7 made a difference when he came on, proved he is no winger when he found himself wide and his cross picked out the linesman Colkett 7 useful looking cameo James - not on long enough to get a mark ... Did he touch the ball?
Ref as inconsistent as our players! 6 Rochdale 6 Bunney made our defenders look like rabbits Crowd 6 bewildered most of the time

Roos 6 Caught and distributed well looked shakey early doors.
J. Clarke 5 struggled but kept to his task unlucky not to score. Lockyer 4 Terrible passing needs to work on that part of his game to be effective at L1 level. Maybe armband effecting his game. Hartley 5 his lack of pace exposed by Rochdale 2 good assists though.
Bodin 4 not his day again needs to come to the party quickly. Lines 6 good first half tried his best to influence game. Faded after booking. Boateng 7 great debut showed his class but faded second half. Brown 5 left the defence a little open his natural game is not this position. Sinclair 9 MOTM one of the best defensive performances you will see at this level.
Taylor 8 2 good finishes needs a partner in crime. Easter 6 nice touches but not influential enough.
Subs: Harrison 6 Colkett 6 James 5
Crowd 2 quiet for most periods Ref 5 fussy Rochdale 7 should of put us to bed first half. Bunny was on fire.
