I've just had a great laugh reading the entire match thread from doom and gloom and criticism of team selection, to sheer elation. One thing does surprise me, though. Have people failed to notice that it is one of DC's key strategies to change a team when we have games back-to-back Saturday and Tuesday? A few years back it became pretty clear that we struggled with having two games three days apart. DC changed all that, making sure there were a few fresh faces in the side for the second game, even if we won the previous game. It has two benefits. The player included on Tuesday is fresh and raring to go, while it also ensures you develop a great squad ethic and team spirit. Though I tend to agree with those who thought his formation a bit strange today, I have learnt - like the players - to trust him after at one stage being his biggest critic. He might not get it completely right all the time, but he has ensured that the entire squad is pulling in the right direction and every player can step up to be a match winner on any occasion. It sounds like Jermaine Easter was the one who made all the difference today, winning the penalty and putting in the cross for the winner. Many would have left Easter out in the cold some time ago, but DC's faith - and the "all in this together" spirit he has created - has been rewarded again. UTG

Good post and all true.
Sometimes you have to look a little deeper than the fancy team sheet graphic posted on twitter half an hour before the game.

UTG Can't argue with any of that except the title. I don't think anyone has worked DC out and that's part of what makes him a winner.

Don't disagree, but would you have posted it had we lost? Retrospect is a wonderful thing.
I thought Easter should have been brought on, on Saturday, but what do I know.

The difference again tonight, just like Saturday, was the change in midfield, which created better opportunistic going forward, consequently Easter drew the penalty and also contributed in Swindon scoring the own goal. Swindle could not cope with Charlie, Linsey and Ollie in midfield.

The eight games he was in charge when we were relegated. I remember those games. The clueless one has more than made up for that since, and he is now one of my favourite Managers of all time.

I FAIL to understand how any gashead does not have 100% belief and respect in what DC does for our football club.
As gasheads we have put up with ALOT of sh8te at our football club over the years.Right now we are on the back of two promotions in a row and have in my opinion a very solid start to this season. With Darrell (who loves our club) and Wael we are only at the begining of a beautiful future which will see our club hit hights we have never see before and really could only dream of...
Just sit back and enjoy the ride,as remember following the gas is a choice and a hobby!
