His best years have past him by, unable to cement his place at Wimbledon so bails out of his contract and signs for a non league team.

When you look at the players they have signed in the last couple of seasons, perhaps they should be more successful.
Money does not always buy success, check out the lot down the road.

He's only signed till the end of the season I read yesterday that it was a two year deal, cant think where. I see the BBC says to the end of the season just like his Wimbledon contract so maybe more salary?

Eastleigh are better off in the conference, the FFP would cripple them with average crowds of 1800

Or perhaps the chance to play games.
Interesting that the most read story every on their website was from 2014 when their chairman thanks Rovers fans following our game there.

Eastleigh are better off in the conference, the FFP would cripple them with average crowds of 1800 Not if their chairman is happy to fund them, as Fleetwood & Accrington seem to survive OK on similar size crowds? Not sure we can still take the moral high ground when we're hoping Wael will fund a training ground and the UWE.

I think that's a bit different to paying players massive wages on long contracts as we are looking for sustainability rather than quick fix, and aren't we looking for investment for the stadium anyway?
Accrington have performed miracles under a very good manager and little money, which you can only doth your hat to. Fleetwood and Crawley have found the going tougher when the FFP kicked in following their entry to the football league, and I think the same will happen to Eastleigh.

Soccerbase said Clarke has played 7 games for AFC Wimbledon, hardly starved of games?
He was actually starved of games while at Northampton where he played 0 league games and stayed the whole season.
Methinks money talked, maybe his old teammate Constable played a part in getting the two talking?
