Wow ! we need to sort out discipline - such a contrast to last season. Ollie already on 5 - he's probably only started about 5 - poor that.

This is probably the first ever season where it doesn't matter if two or three are missing with such a big squad (as long as they are not all in the same position!) The team changes so much every game you wouldn't even notice! If I hadn't had read this I would have just assume these two were just being rested on Saturday! On a side note in line with your comments, that's three players now who have already had five bookings. I don't remember so many suspensions last couple of seasons, especially this early in the season. I assume you still miss two games after ten yellows?

I'll dig out the stats, but I am pretty sure that this is common to most clubs this season. The new laws and interpretation/emphasis has led to many more yellows being shown this season.
Follows the usual football authority maxim; "If it ain't broke, f*ck around with it"

You sense losing Lines soon will be a big blow unless Mansell can step in?

Agree that we need to cut out unnecessary yellows, but wanted to point out the reason for the difference between last season and this. Lines has definitely been on form recently and has to be one of the first names on the team sheet, but with Colkett, Boateng, Montano, Sinclair, Ollie Clarke, Mansell, Bodin, etc. (not to mention Lawrence if and when fit) I think we could cope if Lines picked up a one game suspension for 5 yellows.
